- On this adventure, I collaborated with Craig and Jerry to metal detect a Civil War Confederate camp site. We had some very nice finds on this episode.
I hope you enjoy watching Metal Detecting A Confederate Civil War Camp Site as much as I enjoyed metal detecting there.

Lots of nice finds from that hunt! Silver Pendant, Minnie Ball, Silver Wash Colonial button, Late 1700 buckle, bale seal, silver dime, horse button, & tombac button. oh my! A warm welcome to Jerry as the latest member of the Metal Detecting NC crew! Hope to see more of Jerry in future videos!
Thank you, it was a very fun adventure at some very old spots. There is still a lot more there, we just have to clean the dirt to find it.
Great video Mike. You guys had a good couple of days of hunting. Love finding buttons.
That area was worked over pretty good in the past, but they didn't get it all
So much history beneath our feat if we take the time and effort to luck. Best wishes out there. Happy hunting to you.
that is very true. Best wishes to you as well.
Very nice job guys👍🤓❤️👍
Thank you, Lisa. I am glad you enjoyed the video. It was a fun day (and the chicken loved the grub too)
Great hunt guys! Congratulations! Cool permission full of history
Thank you Deej. It was a fun-filled day with a nice variety of cool finds
Watching now- was late getting to show last night- that old silver pendant was gorgeous!!!! Dandy button and the buckle were also top finds! Congrats guys!!!
Thank you Rob. The pendant doesn't weigh much but it is still a piece of silver and it is old but not 1800s old. Jerry's dandy button and colonial buckle are very nice indeed.

The silver charm was a surprise, it didn't ring up like silver. Uncanny

I Love that modified shovel
My feet kept slipping off the tiny foot rests, so I welded on a piece of rebar. LoL
Nice hunt guys !!

NICE Hunt Mike! Cheers brother
It was a fun adventure. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Do the area right by the fence by the racetrack if you are allowed. On the track side of the fence. I found my best coins there. One was an almost brand new 1877 seated quarter
Thank you, I will try that. It seems to be a place where people gathered to watch the races close up.

Mike, I wonder what that horse button went to is it military
No, it is a civilian button. Probably from the 40s-50s.
