Hello from Ontario, Canada Jimmy. I'm in the same boat rebuilding a 72 C310Q. In my case I also have to replace all engine control cables. A trick I use for fishing cables through tubing and conduit on boats is tie a piece of cotton ball or crumpled paper to a thread or string. If you ever need to put a string in an empty conduit, tie a very small plastic bag to the end of a string, and then use a vacuum cleaner to suck the bag through the conduit. Works like a charm every time, and even cleans out bits of crud and dirt.
One thing I used to do cleaning out the gravel and junk in cable conduit was to use a thin flex wire like a brake cable and trap a piece of cloth in the cable to draw out the conduit. Cleans out the junk and detritus as well as old lube.
Glad to see the project coming along. Ive been a vehicle mechanic for years and gotten burned out but am now looking into what it would take to be an airplane mechanic.
Jimmy. If you are going to replace the carpet. Use Auto Carpet as it's light and can be shaped a lot easier than conventional Carpet. For the Underlay/sound absorbent. Use Felt over foam or rubber. Foam and rubber sweet and can trap moisture underneath which can cause all sorts of problems down the track. If I were in the States I would be happy to help but alas I'm not.
Had a 310C that I lost a engine right after I pulled the gear up because the mixture wasn’t rigged properly and 1notch of lean equated to half closed……scary 60 seconds on a high DA morning. Hopefully you get it right ;)
You and Grizzlie are knocking it out. Be glad when Sparky gets back to the wiring he does great work. Whatever you decide to do with the 310 will be fine. Keep em coming I love your show.

After watching so many UA-cam tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses untill Mr Andrew Jordan started managing my investment now, I make $6,800 weekly. God bless Mr Andrew Jordan, His been a blessing to my family
If you’re going to have to fish the new cables through the conduit again, I would suggest that you mark the length on the weed wacker line but don’t cut it until you pull another length of line through, label it and leave it so you can later pull the new cable through. Just a thought wish you the best of luck
Bill from Flying Dog Ranch being wicked smart is a great description of Bill. He helped me get my 310-E flying. First flight after that much maintenance being scary, yes I have been there. The truth is that once you push the throttles full forward, you are to busy to be scared.
In the future, when running a fishtape down conduit it helps make it WAY easier if you take (with this being plastic) a hairdryer and warm up the end just enough to be able to bend an eyelet onto the end. Having something that is round on the end will make it push much smoother through the conduit. Either that, or call up your electrician buddy that was helping you to see if he has a fiberglass (preferable) or steel with an eyelet on the end fishtape…it will make your cable tracing and measuring tasks much easier to complete with much less “military-proud” language.
can you use a slim jim to pull the cables through and use the bore scope in areas not visible through inspection panels to make sure they are routed correctly.
I would measure cable length with eyelets screwed out to mid position so that you have maximum plus/minus adjustment in case some of the length aren't quite right.
So the aircraft has been cleaned, gauges have been done, lights have been done, wires have been done by the electrician, engines just need the cables and they are done and flaps have been done, Jimmy is pushing the aircraft in the right direction as Jimmy has done so many jobs on it already
I don't know who the cameraman is, but if it's your "mini me", he's doing a great job. Keep up the good work, fellas.

If you ever need to put a string in an empty conduit, tie a very small plastic bag to the end of a string, and then use a vacuum cleaner to suck the bag through the conduit. Works like a charm every time, and even cleans out bits of crud and dirt.
Love pastor Jimmy FAR, even reading from ACTs had me ROFL!!!
Great "ACTing" brother James!
One thing I used to do cleaning out the gravel and junk in cable conduit was to use a thin flex wire like a brake cable and trap a piece of cloth in the cable to draw out the conduit. Cleans out the junk and detritus as well as old lube.
Hey Jimmy! Love what you do!!
Thanks so much!
Salvation!! Thank you Pastor Jim!!
Jimmy, this is going to be the worlds best crowdsourced aircraft…keep up the great work :-) from 🇬🇧
I told Jimmy it would be cool to have his 310 as a static display item at air shows, like ours up here in ABBOTSFORD Air Show every august. EH? lol
That is Awesome that you found a couple of experts.
Hey jimmy it’s so awesome that you take these planes and fix them up I’m in to anything in transportation
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
FLAPS!!! WOW!! This is such an exciting series to watch.... in the end this will be one heck of a plane!!
Glad to see the project coming along. Ive been a vehicle mechanic for years and gotten burned out but am now looking into what it would take to be an airplane mechanic.
It's a similar but very different world. Go for it!
Same Cruz..
Thank you for those divine words Rev Jimmy! Clear Prop!
Lol, Pastor Jim was very inspiring. Loved his word. 🤣
Hopefully you get it right ;)
Testify Rev.Jim!!!! Testify!!!! Show us the Mighty power of the high and all powerful F.A.A!!!
We’ve got an old 310 put out to pasture @ F69 a few yrs ago- might be a parts pig for you?
is it a straight tail? email me details: jiminize1@yahoo.com
You and Grizzlie are knocking it out. Be glad when Sparky gets back to the wiring he does great work.
Whatever you decide to do with the 310 will be fine.
Keep em coming I love your show.
More Pastor Jim please. I hope for a tent revival at some point.

I'll ask him and see what he says ;)
It's been awhile since I attended Sunday Service.....thank you Pastor Jim !!!.....I needed that !!!
The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an etra-income earning chance, like investment.

Hallelujah Brother Jimmy
Make it a crop duster fill it with pepper spray and head to Washington d.c.
We need more Pastor Jim! lol
I love watching this plane go together!! You all are good people and I am hooked on your channel!!
I’m going with transporting kids with cancer , and their family to their treatments . Love the shows , keep them coming buddy .
So the aircraft has been cleaned, gauges have been done, lights have been done, wires have been done by the electrician, engines just need the cables and they are done and flaps have been done, Jimmy is pushing the aircraft in the right direction as Jimmy has done so many jobs on it already
God bless Reverend Jimmy And Jimmy's world
