Dahilla wasn't just super strong witch but we can clearly see that she was highly skilled in dark arts...other witches such as inadu and my all time favourite bonnie would always recite spell but dahilla was something else .....it was like spells were wrapped around her fingers...she would just swiftly move her fingers and even her confidence not only on her face but also in her voice screams that she is the strongest witch in tvdu ....... don't be offended but she uses her magic and her fighting combat very easily and comfortably without screaming or any show off and we just saw small fraction of her power that clearly shows that she was highly skilled in dark arts and very smartly and especially very cunningly handled her magical powers...Freya mostly channelise any dark thing to use magic when dahilla died and Davina was only strongest when she had ancestral power due to harvest ritual.....bonnie, when she mastered expression , she took down Klaus, kol for good and even turned Silas into stone and harnessed 100 witches power plus always used raw magic , her scream was strong enough to create another dimension and also sent back hellfire and defeated arcadius ,she did all this from her age 17 or 18 to 23 yo she had great potential ,in tvd she was the one who could withstand originals,vampires or any supernatural creature on many occasions and I can say she was second to dahilla

Honestly i just don’t think it’s a bad deal to begin with.They dug their own graves by not going with her & having negotiation talks.She didn’t want to raise hope she simply wanted her power.She can still have that by having them raise her
I wanted Esther to have a final battle against Dahlia, with the contention point of Esther wanting to get her revenge on her, it would have been a better finale for the sisters. Esther magically battling Dahlia then getting daggered and dying by the hands of the Vamps.
