Options are good, no discussion there....but when you take into account that with a simple plate removal, your plate carrier becomes "just" a simple load carrier- your load carrier has a limited to no place to be used....in the other hand, once you bought a load carrier - it's not going to become a plate carrier (that is if your load carrier doesn't carries plates - which will be kind of weird to just shunt your ,otherwise , very good MEPC). Looking at things this way - a strictly load carrier is kind of extremely niche product at best.
The problem with plate carriers is that it gives a false sense of security. Sure, they can work, but only if it was a rule to shoot a person in the carrier area. And people tend to think 1 bullet. As Ukraine and Russian trenches has shown, they're shooting each other like popping Pringles. You may end up with a 3rd or half a mag in you. And since plates are everywhere, how do you defeat them? You don't. Aim for the nuts and guts region. It may not be instant incapacitation, but there's no denying rearranging them guts will curl them up and out of the fight.

No, he made a valid point that other tier 1 dudes and SWAT dudes have mentioned that ambi safeties have the POSSIBILITY of getting caught on gear, putting your weapon into FIRE without your knowledge. If you don’t notice and then get something caught in the guard, it’s posssible to ND yourself or someone on your team. “😂😂” That’s you.
Friend, I use professionally a HK416 with ambi controls - it's a shit show ,depending on the gear you have on you and the environment your in (we use an empty 9mm shell or a serflex to block the safety towards the body) - so before laughing - try and see - but when I say try - I mean go in the woods, or in a cqb compound with your gear - do some close to reality training,crawl - jump - climb - rope slide, then come again and tell us how many times you bumped your ambi safety....only then you will understand - just "keyboarding" in the comment section doesn't really do anything other than at least helping this video, witch is not bad in itself
