      I don’t know about that. Just seen him at a trapping convention. He took a jab at one of the all time ADC greats. Then contradicted himself with lures, baits and Kentucky fried chicken. It was good to see so many trappers get up and walk away from his demo.

    I find it ironic so many hate trapping yet are against firearms. Trapping is the most practical of survival skills and to see it put to use in a management sense is a good thing. 2:20 this is why humans have the evolutionary advantage. This man's reasoning speaks volumes

    Fantastic video. Very informative. I never knew the fur market was so picky about some guard hairs missing and few tiny patches. I hope the next season fetches you a better price for your catch.

    Thanks for sharing the info. I try to watch all that I can just for a re-fresher course to try to make sure that I'm doing everything as right as I can. These coyotes are still a huge challenge.

    So wax paper won't work? I have trapped since the early 80s and never used pan covers of any kind. I did have trouble one year with sand getting under my pan , it cost me some coyotes too! Anyway was thinking about trying wax paper, but maybe I will get those coffee filters then. What you think???? Also I hate using anti freeze, it seems no mater what kind I used, it would make a wet spot right over the trap and seemed like fox and coyote were avoiding it! What's your thoughts about that? Thank you in advance for your reply!

    I know nothing about this, however ik something about economics and the future of it. Would it not be worth vertically integrating processing with the retail market? Today it seems survival of any commodity based business will be vertical integration and eliminating the middle man market.
    Basically I heard it isn't worth freezing and that makes complete sense but if you were to make it into an end product freezing isn't needed. I'd like to hear how I'm wrong. Not saying I am not wrong just curious as to why vertically integrating the process wouldn't give leverage to the trapper is all. For right or wrong the secondary market is the issue and to avoid that isn't hard really. You can compete by forgoing the middle man as the end consumer isn't as picky or knowledgeable as the middle man.
    I find this video fascinating on several levels. My hypothesis is that secondary markets are a thing of the past

    I saw he had a death ray in one of those clips, what’s the reason some are shot and some aren’t?

    • @dublelung1
      @dublelung1 2 роки тому +1

      He mentioned on one of the other videos that some of his larger clients didn't allow firearms on the farm due to the possibility of cows accidentally being shot. Sounds silly to us as viewers but it's strictly a liability risk for the ranch owners.
