It took me two hours on my own to put this together. I had it for years. Very well made. You can even buy new covers. Just bought a metal action sofa bed. Miss my old one though. Great vid.

I'm told by guests who have used it more than I have that it is comfortable enough for the time they're visiting. We don't want guest accommodations to be too comfortable; we want them to leave eventually, after all. :-)
The mattress is the one that Ikea sold with the frame. I don't think they had a choice of mattresses that fit it at the time. We might have the details of the mattress in a file somewhere. If I find that, I'll post the details.

Yes, it has problems. I should have included a clock to show how much time actually passed. And music would be nice. But to say it sucks? Gee, you've really hurt my feelings. :'(

@Charles Eutsler or anyone with this sofa/bed, the wood holding the mattress up, has it cracked or have they broken in half? I'm debating whether I should purchased a used one. How is everyone enjoying this bed? Does anyone convert this into sofa and back as a bed on a daily basis? If yes, how is it holding? If I were to use it daily by switching it from a bed to sofa and vice versa, will this bed/sofa last more than 5 years?

@Akupuncturist My mother used it a few nights and said it is comfortabe. I haven't had to sleep in it myself so I can't speak firsthand.

Sorry, I don't have the assembly "instructions" so I don't know the model's name. And they've probably replaced it with a newer model in the 6+ years since we got it.

Can I ask your opinion of the sofa bed please? Looking for options in my spare room and this is an option . Is it comfortable to sleep on and is it durable? Would you recommend someone buy one?
