Thanks, I mean big thanks. I’ve just order my first resin 3d printer (photon mono 6x) and your video has lessen if not relieve my concerns about post processing models and the task of clean up.
Glad it helped. I couldn't find anything online that went through the whole process when I was buying. I've got another video that goes through printing the same part on my resin printer and my FDM printer. A lot of the information is the same, but I thought it was interesting to see the differences of resin printing and FDM printing. ua-cam.com/video/FWX4xDFYzbA/v-deo.html
seriously underrated video - thanks, this is what someone who's getting into this needs and im pretty sure this is the only start-to-finish video of the entire process out there that includes disposing of supports. Question, though - I have water washable resin. How do I dispose of the water after use? im nowhere near anywhere that will accept it and also in a part of the world where there is never any sun so evaporating the water isnt really doable. Thoughts? thanks
Thanks! I just put up another video this morning that shows the whole process for printing the same part with an FDM printer and a resin printer. It's 20 minutes long (ugh) and took me way more time to edit than I expected, but if you're curious here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/FWX4xDFYzbA/v-deo.html As far as what to do with the used water? I'm not sure. I've never used water washable resin. I did some searching (looks like you have too) and everything you list that you can't do is all I could find. I'm guessing you have a curing station of some kind since you don't have good sunlight. Small clear containers that fit in your curing station would work. Perhaps small water bottles ? Maybe even a clear vase. After it's cured let it sit so the cured resin settles to the bottom. Filter that through a coffee filter and you could use the water again and throw away the filtered and cured resin. You might run the filtered resin in your curing station one more time to insure it's done. You could also let the water sit in room light if you can't find containers small enough for your curing station. It will take a long time for the resin to cure being exposed to room lights, but it will cure. How long? Not sure. Several days to a couple of weeks maybe. Sunlight is definitely the best if you have a window sill that gets even limited sunlight. Wish I had a better answer. I see many people asking the same question.
I learned a lot from this video when I started: Anycubic Photon 101: Getting Started: The Tools! Tips and Tricks! (3DPrintFarm) ua-cam.com/video/OqJIF1E7MIg/v-deo.html Also lots and lots of paper towels. Done! Added the links in the description below the video to download the STL files for the keyboard stands. I'll put them here too. Keyboard stand without supports. Can use this to print on any printer, just have to add supports. Curing the rubbish is a MUST.

It hadn't occurred to me to try sticking the build plate in the freezer to get the prints off

Time would have been saved printing them flat, directly to the build plate.
