Just got to hear John Sebastian with Annie Raines and Paul Rishell at the 50th annual Harmonica Convention (SPAH) doing this tune--had to check out the original!
Sonny Boy played his best behind Yank...The Yank Rachel/Sonny Boy/Washboard Sam recordings should be where every blues harmonica player starts but they don't. Big mistake.....the blueprint for Little Walters playing is right here and on about 5 others.For me these recordings are pretty much the Holy Grail!
@dubfortheyouth uh huh. tapping that thang is no where a modern phrase. if history is studied good enough people would see that a lot of things we say and do now are from the old south
