@@3DFarmingLife I certainly have not. I’m also down in the Deep South and haven’t experienced the cold weather since I bought my LS tractor a few years ago. That cold weather tractor starting information is good to know in case I need it in the future.

Also keep us posted on how your LS is doing. I like to hear from LS owners and their experience with their tractors.

I have an mt573 in Wisconsin.
I have started it at -20f without out plugging it in, just to test it. It fired up fairly good.

Yikes that is cold. We Texans would not be able to go outside in that weather 😂. It is good to hear that it started up fairly well. I continue to say it is alway good to have comments coming in from real LS Owners and your experience with the LS. Thanks we appreciate it.

In Michigan we use turbo de-ice heater, also battry blanket. #1 diesel. No problems usually

Yeah we really don’t have any experience with that. That is way outside my Texas weather. Normally we are looking for ice so we can cool down from the summer heat. Thanks and stay warm

We just went through two weeks of sun zero weather up here in Iowa
We warmed to 26 degrees today. That makes it feel like a heat wave here.

😂 I get it. You guys deal with some harsh weather. I felt a little like I was preaching to the choir. 26* swimming weather for you guys.
I wanted to cover the LS warning lights. So I took advantage of our coldest weather this year so far. Stay warm. Thanks I appreciate it.

😂 yeah in central Texas if it gets below 60 we have our coats on and building a fire. This last week it got down to 15-16 degrees. That is cold for us. Be Safe and thanks

Great video, I often wondered why they didn't put a block heater on this tractor? I don't know if you know what causes this, but I have a new MT573 with a 150 hours on it. I let it warm up all the time when I use it! The other day using it the power shuttle half the time wouldn't go into reverse shifting from going forward and vise versa even after a hour of use. You have to put it in neutral for a second or two for it to go into gear, and yes I'm almost at a full stop when shifting forward to reverse and vise versa. I talk to the dealer and he said it might be the hydraulic filter causing it. Do you have any experience with this issue? I have not change the filter yet. Oil level is good, I also get the yellow light up in the right corner. that the manual says it's a major error to take it to the dealer.

First thanks for watching. I have not experienced the issue you are having. The dealer may be correct about the filter. The PSS has its on filter and it may be getting clogged. I don’t know if you have done your 50 hr service but that is part of it. We have a video that might be helpful to you on doing that service. The contact your dealer Light ! May be coming on because the pump is struggling and not getting enough fluid. Just my thoughts. I hope this resolves your problem. If not it definitely need to go in for service. Thanks again. Also keep us posted on this it might help someone.

I have a 1970 John Deere 2520 diesel with a Westendorf loader on it
It takes quite a while for the hydraulic oil to warm enough for the loader to function well.
I would prefer to not use my equipment when it is that cold. It is extremely hard on the equipment.
Unfortunately, life always likes to throw curveballs
I had 3 days in a row where neighbors were in dire need of my tractor with the chains on it.
