At the casino I dealt at, most of these cheating methods are impossible due to how we were trained. For example, on the multicolor payout, we have to separate all the colors and then pay accordingly. If we were to try to pay in one stack such as in the video and there was a question about the payout being correct, we'd *at minimum* get written up for paying out a multicolor stack like that. If anything, this video shows that players should pay attention to how disciplined/casual dealers are. Lived in Vegas since 1986, worked as a dealer for 31 years, even when the mob was in town. Honestly, I never cheated once in my life. I was always a hot dealer, beating everyone. I might have had 1 bad day a month. Thank God for shared tips!!
No. These things just don't happen. They are all things from the 60's and 70's. Maybe the 80's some. But policies and procedures all but eliminated these cheats to create a fair clean game. I'm coming from around a decade of experience as a dealer and floor. All of these techniques would be spotted instantly and the dealer would lose his/her gaming license. The most common cheats today are when dealer over pay players to earn more tips. Casinos today won't give a dealer anything for taking money from players (I would know I was a cooler lol.) So dealers are incentivized by paying players to earn tips.
They DO HAPPEN. I KNOW FOR A FACT AND AM LOOKING FOR HELP GETTING MY STOLEN LOSSES BACK AND TAKING DEALER LICENSES AWAY FROM THE CHEATERS. IT IS A CRIME!!!
I like the very last bit of the video, people who complain casino games are rigged do not understand the true nature of casino: casino system itself is a scam, you can make money "at that moment" because you are lucky "at that moment", if you don't know when to stop and lock your profit, you always lose in long run.
23 years ago, the local casino near me got busted have 2 aces in a six deck shoe. They also 14 of their poker dealers arrested for dealing to their friends and family. I lost my first hand at a table where I had my first 4 cards 4 aces in 7-card stud. Next two were queens and I get called and raised by someone with junk showing. 3 cards down to the 4-8 straight flush.
You should have sal piacente in for an appearance. Richard Munchkin says it best.. the way casinos cheat these days is by just attempting to not pay you. This is especially true for casinos outside the U.S. But even here in this country we have to deal with the song and dance of “I will not cash you out without your ID.”
I play mostly BJ at casio's in the US but I change tables if I am not getting mostly wimming hands, I will change tables until I do and always protect wins. When I am looking for a winning table I am usually carrying a hand full of green and red chips. When I walk by a roulette table with no bets on #32 (Jim Browns Number), I always put a red chip straight up on it . I have won this bet so many times I lost count but it has been a lot and I always walk away when I hit it. About 10 years ago I placed that exact bet in an Indian casino in Iowa. I clearly placed the bet in the middle of the number way before the sealer said "No More Bets" and a munite latter the ball landed on 32. The pit boss was watching the table and walked over and picked up my red chip and said I placed the bet too late. I asked to talk to the casino manager first who didn't show up.and then asked to file a complaint witch I did. When I came back the next day I was told my chip was touching the line of anather number and only paid me half of what they owed me. The do not like hit and run players.
I had a dealer cheat me in Reno. It was a very hard to see fumble of a good card that was supposed to be mine, but instead the dealer took it for themselves.
I remember I was playing at my local casino and I made $400 off blackjack and when I was changing my chips in the dealer didn’t count my chips correctly, I noticed something was wrong when I didn’t get the right amount I knew in my mind what I was Finna get. They replayed it on the cameras and told him to give me back 300 when I knew I gave him 400
Two things I’ve noticed with playing hand shuffled double deck for several months. The 12 hit is almost always a 10 for the player…And the first hand of the shoe the dealer will almost always show a 10 or ace. Maybe a coincidence but does seem crazy…
My man! Great videos. I'm just at the beginning of memorizing basic strategy. The next step is to work on counting, then combine it all and go practice in online casinos, only then go practice in real casinos. Your app is very helpful. I was wondering if you could do more videos about how to bet during true high count. You do have some, and you do talk about protecting bank roll and about danger in chasing bets to recover losses (progressive). I just feel like there's a lot of education about basic strategy, counting, deviations, and more, - but not much about what to do about 'cherry on the cake.' Many thanks in advance.
Besides blackjack. Its not in their favor. Now they minimize the risk usually by adding more and more decks and shuffling them more regularly so card counting doesnt give you as much of an edge as you had before those changes, small enough for them not to care about it anymore. Cause even if you count cards, most dont and lose anyway. And even if blackjack would be a slight loss, lots of blackjack players go and play other games too where the house takes it back. But yeah, casinos dont need to cheat. You are totally right there
As a relative of a professional card sharp that worked for Vegas casinos, I can confirm this is 100% real and far more wide spread than you can imagine.
I am a dealer in Las Vegas. We don't cheat! We keep to strict procedures, and those ensure an honest game. In the past, I'm sure that cheating did happen, but these days there is no need for it. Casinos make insane amounts of money simply with the built-in house edge. Why would they risk losing their license just to make a little bit more here and there? I have heard of dealers stealing from the casino, but they are fired, and turned over to law enforcement. However, casinos in Las Vegas do increase their profits with 6 to 5 blackjack, and triple zero roulette. Of course, as a player, you should avoid these, but most tourist don't know the difference, or they just want to play so they simply accept it.
Would a dealer not want a great tipper to win so they make more money themselves? Las Vegas dealers make $10-11/hr plus tips. So just tip well so they have incentive for you to win. I did hear Resort World has a tip pool shared per shifts now so not much of an incentive anymore to tip. That’s one con for tipping more
Dealers in blackjack can short you on coloring up. If you aren't careful, it's hard to catch. They can put a $25 green chip under a stack of reds, shorting you $25. Happened to me at Silverton in Las Vegas. I got paid back from casino because I knew how much I had when I colored up.
Shorting the deck is still very prevalent today in certain places. Don't play at any of the stations places in Vegas. I've literally counted individual cards coming out of their decks and certain cards are way over the possible amount. Of course no corrupt gaming authority is gonna investigate it and no one's gonna take my word for it, but just be on the lookout is all I can say.
I’ve been cheated in Vegas at New York, New York. Crazy story. Don’t know if Nevada Gaming was in on it or not, but when they sent me a letter explaining the payout was done correctly, nothing matched up with the scenario I described. It was as if they were shown security footage of a completely different hand. Cost me $1,000. In hindsight, I almost felt like the pit boss was in on it. But there’s also the small chance that it was an honest mistake, however, that doesn’t account for the Gaming Board not viewing the correct footage. So either two honest mistakes happened, or I was cheated. I lean towards the latter. Happened during a color up at the end of a winning session. Now I always pay more attention during color ups.
I was playing blackjack one night at a table by myself . For about half a shoe the dealer would pay me even if i lost . Not sure if she was mad at the casino or what . Still hard to believe .
When a player cheats against the casino, there are serious penalties. But it seems like when the casino cheats the player they get away with a slap on the wrist. A 50k fine I wouldn’t think would be much for a lot of casinos.
As a dealer, is it ever really worth losing your career by cheating? I could see trying to get rid of players that are either total stiffs or major a-holes, otherwise keep them around.
Agreed. Why would a dealer care in today’s casino environment? 40 years ago, before cameras, maybe the casino pays the dealer to deal seconds. But doesn’t make sense today, to the dealer or casino.
@@paulklemer Most players tip dealers because they engage the player in conversation, give them hints on how to play, or just give good customer service. Known stiffs get the bare minimum required for the job.

A little over 10 years ago, I was counting in an indian casino. They pulled the dealer-swap after less than 10 minutes (could have been legit, very normal). I went from mostly winning, to everything going wrong and odds just felt wrong. I paid attention to the dealer and saw him pull a card off the bottom on me. I was in a town where no one knew who or where I was, on a reservation with an indian dealer, and indian security. I decided it was just time to leave. I got up, cashed out, and left right then. That was the last time I ever dealt with those crooked indian casinos. I now only go to corporate casinos in Nevada where I know it is at least a straight game.
For the most part they do not cheat, but against winning players who repeatedly come in and the house is starting to lose so many hands they figure they don’t have an edge, they will absolutely bring in a mechanic versus high limit advantage player, and they will ban them from the casino for frivolous reasons. I’ve seen in Vegas high limit rooms. That’s why most dealers come on here and say we don’t cheat, for the most part they don’t. But against high limit advantage players they absolutely play dirty. Same thing for winning sports bettors, I’ve personally seen them ban them for no reason saying they messed up a room when they didn’t. Claiming they broke something when they did not.
In the State of New York, a law was past to make casino more fair so that's why there's no dealers or table casino games at Jake's 58. All of the table games are electric table games so that casinos cannot cheat on their customers.
@@Lina-ws3by only if someone hacks into it. A machine that cheats is illegal and if the state of New York finds out then that casino will be involved in a big lawsuit and could shutdown.
Casinos don’t cheat very often. But they steal money from players by changing the rules to give them a higher advantage. Preferential shuffling has the same effect as using a short deck in the long run. That’s because all plus counts get shuffled away and negative counts get dealt down to the end, or at least to the shuffle card. Casinos use preferential shuffling discreetly by changing dealers, refilling the chip tray, or changing decks all during plus counts.
I played one time in the early 80's at the Westward Ho in Vegas. Single deck Black Jack. Are cards were being delt face up including the dealers. I lost 20 hands in a row. I would suspect they had a cheating dealer, especially after I was warned not to play there again by another dealer I had meet in Vegas, who said she used to deal Black Jack there herself. The odds of losing 20 hands in a row is likely not very high mathematically for a pro, or even an average rated player.
Yes. Casinos do it all the time, every time. Whenever someone better than them shows up and beats them at their own game, the casinos throw a tantrum or rewrites the rules for their own personal gains rather than face the consequences and reality.
Yeah this video is a bit ridiculous. Maybe not back then, but in modern times, a dealer is not going to risk their job to try to make the house money. I’m a dealer, trust me, we want to house to lose too
I agree, why cheat when you're guaranteed to win in the long run? Sure, a casino may "lose" to you here and there, but they always win overall in the grand scheme of things when you factor in everyone else.
Dealers may make a mistake, but as far as cheating the players it NEVER would happen at a licensed casino. Now they may cheat for the player against the casino.
My first thought was; Do dealers in the US (especially Vegas) get paid more based on how much money they make for a casino per period? Why would you go to such a great expense to learn how to screw people over unless it’s in your financial interest?
I'm not in Vegas, but I don't get paid more if the casino is winning. Only way I get paid more is from tips. I'm far more on the player's side than the casino.
@@All_is_Dust7 Yeah, dealers are more likely to cheat in the player's favor these days, but even that's kind of unlikely since the tips usually get shared.
Correct, this video is so dated. I’m a blackjack dealer, we don’t get a cut of the money the house makes, we get paid 10/hr + tips we get from players. We had a girl who was fired recently for cheating in the players advantage lol. This video could be summed up by the last 2 minutes. It’s kinda clickbait tbh, kinda wish it was taken down.
I want to start trying to count but the local casinos near me all use automatic shuffling machines, is it worth counting on top of basic strategy I’ve already built up?
@@Blackjackapprenticeship I think it’s automatic, they just play a few hands and put the cards back into the machine but in all honesty I’m not sure of the difference between automatic and continuous machines

I was at a casino in the south, I started with 300 dollars and I was shooting craps and was ahead about 15,000.00 I had the dice for a long time and had made about 10 different points , I had 6000. on the rail and the rest was in play on the board, a guy came up to the table and something felt off , a couple of the dice men sort of did a double take and as I threw the dice the guy stuck his hand out and hit the dice, acting like it was a late bet. I made the point , but I knew right away something was wrong, I asked him to get his bet in then I would throw, I waited he made his bet and I threw the dice and he did it again, this time I lost all the board money, I had also had a guy try to steal some 500 dollar chips from the rail, while I was betting, The guy was what I call a Jonah, everything he touches turns to crap and I am 99.9 % sure the casino called him down to end my run
Every big corporation, every tribal casino you know what I mean . the point is staying away from them is the most profitable move because of the stuff they can do to people even if you are a perfect advantage player
That is why in my country it's not allowed to deal by ''hand'' it's all in the shuffler, and it's coming out 1 by 1... ( and yes i know this cuz i work in 1 of the 14 casino's here.)
Be careful with fast blackjacks that are not done in order but rather simulated through the will of where to place the dealers. I have already been in a situation where a dealer hesitated to place a card that benefited me elsewhere, clearly she later became embarrassed because she saw that what she did was poorly done, characterizing bad faith.Micro Chips placed on cards can also detect the card and show on the display in front of the dealer that we don't see.
People know their money. Slipping your bet to what they pay you will bring attention. The player will call a pit boss to review your bet. When I play I know what I bet and what I’m to be paid and even know the bankroll I have on the table.
What is the point of a cheating dealer tho? If you win, they win in tips. Unless they have a stake in the casino which is non existent with dealers wages.
So, shouldn’t gaming regulators like the Nevada Gaming commission do surprise audits - come in and count all cards in an active shoe to make sure all cards are there, for example?
i was at las vegas about 12 years ago. awesome hotel hall with flowers and waterfalls 😮 amazing "dream" water show. i aint bet even a 1$😂 and like i was hearing local security watching videos and controlling our group visit were talking disapointed - "they havent play EVEN ONES 😠" 😅
Gambling has ruined my life more times than I can count .... I’ve quit for years , but it’s something I just enjoy .... I got my life back in order and of course did it again . I wish I knew how to beat them . They have taken so much from me .... and I know they cheat .
I'm a dealer and most of these are impossible, the shoe we use is not transparent and you can't push a card up to take another one there is a small bump on top preventing this, for the fake pay I'm sure nobody does that and everybody would realize it since they know how much they bet, and the bet needs to be in a very small circle on the table so it would show since you paid with your left or right hand. also dealers wants people to win, makes a better atmosphere at the table, get better tips, when people loose it sucks because they're not happy and it's boring to deal to them. maybe this is because I deal at a gouvernment owned casino and it's different in the U.S.
Here's a hypothetical for you, if a dealer and an advantage player were to speak to one another outside of the casino in which the dealer works at, and the dealer agreed to give the advantage player the most deeply dealt blackjack game possible, and the blackjack player were to then go play at this dealers table, would that constitute as cheating, collusion, and/or fraud? I would say yes to the collusion, but cheating? I'm trying to figure out where somebody else would draw the line. Before anyone asks, no, I am not considering doing this, nor would I ever engage in this as it's way too outside of my bounds for me to venture. But I have met people who have done so...
With modern casinos and the shoe, I'm glad you're not claiming that hand-dealing cheats apply to a shoe, or you'd lose all credibility. NOT that casinos wouldn't cheat if they thought they could get away with it.
So when a dealer pushes their pinky finger inside the shoe. It is to cheat? I noticed one doing it today but she didnt do it everytime she plucked a card.
Of course a dealer was cheating in my favor at the mirage but didn't say anything...I heard dealers could get fired even if honest mistake. She was paying me off even when I lost. It happened at least twice.
Can you really tell if dealers actually cheat on players? Most of the time, I always think they’re playing the right way, when shuffling or dealing out our cards. And also, the hands I get, they can be brutal at times, but it’s all a matter of knowing when to make the right moves at the right time, even if you think something’s up the dealer’s sleeve.
The only way to prove that cheating happened is to catch it in the moment, or get a glimpse at some doctored machinery like the gaffed shoe. The sheer number of hands needed to prove cheating statistically is too high for anyone to accumulate in one lifetime
MOST dealers these days get paid minimum wage, no benefits, and survive off your generous tips. I’ve only ever seen dealers cheat in favor of the players at my casino, and it’s rare and involves legal fines if caught

So happy you shared this!
Lived in Vegas since 1986, worked as a dealer for 31 years, even when the mob was in town. Honestly, I never cheated once in my life. I was always a hot dealer, beating everyone. I might have had 1 bad day a month. Thank God for shared tips!!
Colin about to have a heart attack thinking back that he might have been cheated in all these ways when he was a pro blackjack player
Magician was a very accurate description. That guy was smooth as silk.
Been dealing for 20 years keeping my own tips and I've absolutley never cheated. I want 99.9% of players to win.
Great to hear. Not worth your eternal soul
It only had 2 aces in a 6 deck shoe? Instead of 24?
What is the point, at least in the large corporate owned casinos of trying to cheat like this? Does the dealer have any incentive to do so?
You should have sal piacente in for an appearance. There is NOBODY on his level and he probably stands alone as the biggest asset for casinos all around the world with his knowledge of cheating and his experience in catching cheating. Would be awesome to see you interview him and it would be very interesting. Im sure youve heard of him hes pretty famous for exposing cheaters and his slight of hand on cheating reenactments is OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. Seeing him do is like watching a magic trick and you dont even see it happen while he's telling you exactly what hes doing. He's ONE OF A KIND forreal
Agreed
Richard Munchkin says it best.. the way casinos cheat these days is by just attempting to not pay you. This is especially true for casinos outside the U.S.
But even here in this country we have to deal with the song and dance of “I will not cash you out without your ID.”
Which casinos outside the US?
Jason is incredible. Excellent video too!
"We have the house advantage legitimately, why would we bother cheating?" is the answer I got when I was trained as dealer.
I remember I was playing at my local casino and I made $400 off blackjack and when I was changing my chips in the dealer didn’t count my chips correctly, I noticed something was wrong when I didn’t get the right amount I knew in my mind what I was Finna get. They replayed it on the cameras and told him to give me back 300 when I knew I gave him 400
Buy Casino stocks and be the owner of the casino!
That's some devious stuff
I have been summoned, its been long enough.
"Do casinos ever cheat?" Is like saying 'Is water wet?' or 'Does a bear 💩 in the woods?'
6:59-7:01
if ur dealer hesitates while riffling hes without a doubt trying to peek the riffle for information, or to position the cards a certain way
LOL 🤣🤣
Two things I’ve noticed with playing hand shuffled double deck for several months. The 12 hit is almost always a 10 for the player…And the first hand of the shoe the dealer will almost always show a 10 or ace. Maybe a coincidence but does seem crazy…
9:25 I truly believe they do this over seas and in Vegas they can do it with out the dealer even knowing about it …
In most casinos, cards are delt from a shoe. Maybe not in high stakes, but on the main floor.
Thank you for admitting this
Casinos don't cheat, they don't have too, all the winning odds on there side, for every table game and every slot machine on there property.
I've been mispayed 7 or eight times in a couple hours regularly believe if they don't pay you when they should or under pay you it should be double
Anyone can short you anyways. Thats just a mistake , but you just speak up
Shorting the deck is still very prevalent today in certain places. Don't play at any of the stations places in Vegas. I've literally counted individual cards coming out of their decks and certain cards are way over the possible amount. Of course no corrupt gaming authority is gonna investigate it and no one's gonna take my word for it, but just be on the lookout is all I can say.
I stopped playing blackjack when I realized the casinos were shorting the decks of 10s,faces and Aces.
If you're in the US at licensed casinos they're not. If they were you'd have quite the lawsuit and you'd be quite wealthy.
@@Blackjackapprenticeship …. The casinos own the gaming commision. Don’t be so gullible.
Really, I know personally a large name brand casino using cheating dealers. Make arrangements for someone to watch this cheater and get me paid!!!
Thank you Colin💙 I trust you and I trust the math, sorry for doubting😭😭😭
I was playing blackjack one night at a table by myself . For about half a shoe the dealer would pay me even if i lost . Not sure if she was mad at the casino or what . Still hard to believe .
When a player cheats against the casino, there are serious penalties. But it seems like when the casino cheats the player they get away with a slap on the wrist. A 50k fine I wouldn’t think would be much for a lot of casinos.
If a casino gets legit caught cheating it is ALOT more then 50k like not even close
Bro the 50k was in the video…
The bad publicity would hurt them for a while I’m guessing…
As a dealer, is it ever really worth losing your career by cheating? I could see trying to get rid of players that are either total stiffs or major a-holes, otherwise keep them around.
Agreed. Why would a dealer care in today’s casino environment? 40 years ago, before cameras, maybe the casino pays the dealer to deal seconds. But doesn’t make sense today, to the dealer or casino.
Stiffs? Do you as a dealer tip a player when they are losing? Why should a player tip when they are winning?
@@paulklemer Most players tip dealers because they engage the player in conversation, give them hints on how to play, or just give good customer service. Known stiffs get the bare minimum required for the job.
@@paulklemerat our casino, the dealers will also act as a floor/clerk at the end of our table string (table rotation.) If you’re an asshole, and want something, I might not help you out :), you’ll have to get up to get your drink, if you’re on the list for the poker board, and your name gets called, I might say the phones not working, you gotta walk over there. We make 10/hr homie. You don’t gotta tip, we just might not be nice to you😊
Online black jack is where the real cheating is 😂 bunch of b's machines set up to screw u
Great show! Thx
Have you ever suspected a fellow "patron" stting next to you at the table of trying to distract you?
I'm a dealer. I would never cheat for the casinos. Everyone pretty much hates the casino.
I noticed 11:07 where you mention "cheating casinos in some countries" has the footage of Georgia. Is that a hint?
All of the table games are electric table games so that casinos cannot cheat on their customers.
a coded machine can cheat so much easier than a dealer
In pa. 1. Casino WILL NOT. Give you a drink in less then 2o minutes. They got in trouble last year from a drunken driving accident that they got sued
One way and I think the best way is to keep the deck on the table
Another great video,
Dealers may make a mistake, but as far as cheating the players it NEVER would happen at a licensed casino. Now they may cheat for the player against the casino.
great, you just gave me enough reason not to ever play at any casino, not even if I want to spend time for fun.
My first thought was;
Do dealers in the US (especially Vegas) get paid more based on how much money they make for a casino per period?
Yes dealers in the US and especially Vegas get a large percentage of the casino's profits divided equally amongst them.....🤣🤣🤣
@@allwrighty100 Name a casino where this happens.
I want to start trying to count but the local casinos near me all use automatic shuffling machines, is it worth counting on top of basic strategy I’ve already built up?
Automatic Shuffle Machines or Continuous Shuffle Machines
@@Blackjackapprenticeship I think it’s automatic, they just play a few hands and put the cards back into the machine but in all honesty I’m not sure of the difference between automatic and continuous machines
@@Vidarr90with a continuous shuffler, after every hand dealt the dealer returns those cards to the shuffler and immediately get mixed back into the shoe. Never play at those games. Automatic shufflers are fine to play at, and yes… count count count
DCI is on site in most casinos to stop any house cheating
Makes me feel like it’s so easy to do in online casinos.
And we both know cutting a deck in half and flat betting is the same as a back off
That is why in my country it's not allowed to deal by ''hand'' it's all in the shuffler, and it's coming out 1 by 1...
What’s the incentive for a dealer to cheat? I’ve seen players cheat, but never a dealer. Guess I need to watch out for that.
Nice content. Can I ask to check the shoe if it has a prism? Or can I ask the dealer not to touch the shoe when he is not dealing?
The only thing you trust in casinos is gravity
What is the point of a cheating dealer tho? If you win, they win in tips. Unless they have a stake in the casino which is non existent with dealers wages.
Sometimes it's jealousy. Sometimes they hate you or the world. Happens. A lot.
Why would a dealer care if they don’t actually win or lose money? Does the casino give them some sort of a bonus if the dealer wins?
So, shouldn’t gaming regulators like the Nevada Gaming commission do surprise audits - come in and count all cards in an active shoe to make sure all cards are there, for example?
I am not worried at all. I stay away from suckers play
What's your feeling on automatic shufflers and continuous shufflers? Technology today would make manipulating which cards come possible.
i was at las vegas about 12 years ago. awesome hotel hall with flowers and waterfalls 😮 amazing "dream" water show. i aint bet even a 1$😂 and like i was hearing local security watching videos and controlling our group visit were talking disapointed - "they havent play EVEN ONES 😠" 😅
Gambling has ruined my life more times than I can count .... I’ve quit for years , but it’s something I just enjoy .... I got my life back in order and of course did it again . I wish I knew how to beat them . They have taken so much from me .... and I know they cheat .
Now it's your turn to cheat them back
Now it's your turn to cheat them back
A reputable casino, for example, Caesers Palace, is not going to compromise their gaming license by cheating a player. It makes absolutely no sense.
The last couple minutes discusses that most of these methods are not being used in the US anymore.
Dealer should ask gamblers if they would like seconds 🤣
I feel like casinos dont need to cheat. ALL the games are in the casinos favor.
I agree, we say that in the video.
My Dad was a casino dealer in Nevada following WW2. He knew every trick and no one could catch him.

@@ThaoTran-vt5ru he died in 2005
So when a dealer pushes their pinky finger inside the shoe. It is to cheat? I noticed one doing it today but she didnt do it everytime she plucked a card.
What is the incentive for the dealer to cheat? How are dealers paid?
Dont think dealers cheat for the house in this century...only if they are partners with the players
MOST dealers these days get paid minimum wage, no benefits, and survive off your generous tips. I’ve only ever seen dealers cheat in favor of the players at my casino, and it’s rare and involves legal fines if caught
