Glad to see you back. I recently transitioned to this racquet from the Head G360 Radical Pro and found it to be a realtively natural change. I have both Extreme G360+ Tour and Radical G360 Pro strung with Lynx Tour in the main, and MLT in the crosses at 24kg and find that the Extreme gives easier access to power and spin. Can't wait to see your future reviews!
Hey ! Thanks for your feedback. Yes for me the Extreme Tour is more powerful and top spin friendly than the Radical, easier to swing also. Maybe less stable.
Switch to this bad boy from the Speed. This frame definitely needed some lead, after customization now it feels amazing, gives me exactly what I put out!
@@team-tennisenglish1514 it was a bit pingy and unstable in stock form I must say, maybe that’s why you felt it had the same power level as the Speed because you could swing it very fast, but I felt it had very little weight behind the ball. After adding 4 grams of lead my experience changed a lot, I felt I could hit a heavier and more consistent ball thanks to better plowthrough. I’d say this is more of a control stick with some good pop rather than a twenner style frame like the Speed, cheers!
Thank you, nice comment. I'll try to make english videos again, even if they're a bit shorter than my french ones. Which is not the case for this one :)
@@team-tennisenglish1514 All your vids are very informative. And your strokes are so clean and fluent. Miss you so much. Let me ask a question. How is the comfort compared with Speed mp 360+. Witch one do you prefer more?
Thank you ! Yes I find it interesting. I hesitate to switch to that racquet. I'd like just a bit more swingweight but maybe it can be customized. I'm going to test it again with some lead tape.
Hi Jean Pierre! Greetings from Croatia! Welcome back! I’m subscribed to quite a few tennis channels, and in my opinion, your reviews are maybe the best and most objective. Cheers!
Always great reviews! I recently switched to this racquet and also really like it. Also for the maneuverability and spin with enough control. I really love Lynx Tour but hated it with this racquet, it was very pingy as someone else mentioned. I have tried hyper G (regular and soft 17ga), Ultra Cable and Cyclone 18ga. All are much better but I prefer this racquet with a dead feeling string like hyper G and UC.
Hollow feeling, it's a bit true. I like the racquet but when you like to have something really solid in your hand, it might feel a bit too light. Especially the one I had for the test, in my opinion the weight unstrung is closer to 300 g than 305.
Your English is great! How many native English speakers are bi- or multi-lingual after all! You make excellent racquet reviews, so it’s always good to see content from you. If you have no time, maybe consider putting in English subs in your French reviews? Tennis gear heads watch reviews in any language!
Impressive hitting and I totally agree with your review. I had a chance to compare the ET to the Rad-MP and Speed-MP recently (all latest versions). The feel is great on all of them. I found the Rad-MP good but a bit head-heavy, so fine for baseline, but a little clunky elsewhere. The Speed-MP was very nice too, more spin and power because of the 100 sqi, but still well controlled. Then the ET was very interesting because as you said it feels quite light and whippy, but it still does have good power, spin and control. Overall for me the Speed-MP is ready to go, but I would prefer to get an ET and, as you mentioned, add a few grams of lead to the hoop and it could be perfect.
I like the ET but there's something that bothers me a bit, I don't have a solid feeling, like the racquet is a bit hollow and too light. I'm going to search for something else.I'd like to try : Babolat Pure Aero VS, Head prestige MP L, Yonex VCore 98, Head Radical MP.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 I concur. Sometimes the ET handle area felt more hollow than usual, weirdly. Anyway, if you want a more solid feel, as I mention below you should definitely try the Dunlop CX200 (98). It's also interesting because the specs say 21.5mm beam, but I have measured it to be more like 21mm and the graphite thus feels a bit more solid in my experience. Try it in a grip size too small because the Dunlop grip comes up a bit large. I found it to be a good 'all-round' racket: nothing was amazing, but nothing was bad either.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 awesome that you’ve started doing English reviews again! It seems like we have smiliar tastes in racquets as I’m thinking of upgrading my set of 2nd gen 16x19 Pure Strikes and I’ve had my eye on the Extreme Tour, Aero VS, EZONE and VCore. I’d love to hear what have to say about them and how they compare!
Love this racket. Needs a bit of customisation but I actually like that as I get to make it play according to my game. Find it to have the perfect blend of spin, power and control and also arm friendly. It's amongst the best serving rackets I've ever had too
Nice review!! However I don't agree with how you ranked it in terms of power. I come from the Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19 (2nd gen), and I find this Head Extreme Tour provides way less power and a much lower launch angle. For a 16x19, the string pattern is quite dense, specially in the center. I agree that it needs some customization, I added 6 grams of lead at 3 & 9 and I think the racket improved substantially.
With regard to stability, how do you find this racquet against the 2020 Yonex Ezone 98, 2021 VCore 98, Pure Drive VS, and Radical MP (Orange)? In my test, I didn't find the power to be as high as my 2018 Yonex Ezone 98 either. That could be the string? I am testing racquets against my Ezone 98. I like the above, any other you would suggest for similar control, possibly a little bit more free power/spin?
Stability correct, close to the radical MP I think, but not crazy because feels light, at least the racquet I had for the demo. Maybe you have more power with Ezone 98 because of the higher swingweight and the balance point more towards the head.
@@team-tennisenglish1514Yes maybe I'm able to come through the ball faster and with more assertion. I've also had some power come from the string selection. I'm playing the PTP 1.15 (experimenting) and will likely find comfort with the 1.20 @ 45lbs. I did really enjoy the movement and feeling of the VCore 95, but had to generate most of my power. I'm looking for something more like the Ezone 98 to demo. Thank you for your response. It's hard to get a demo of the Babolat VS Series in Melbourne, Victoria.
Thank you ! Speed Pro heavier, feels more solid. Extreme better for top spin and fast swings. Power not so far finally but try to determine precisely the max weight you can handle first.
Hello. Did you feel a strong vibration from Extreme tour? I have been playing with it for a month and my elbow started to hurt, although there were no such problems with my previous racket wilson blade. I felt that Extreme tour is not enough dampened and it seems this is the reason for the pain in the elbow.
Thanks a lot, very useful your expert opinion. Where I live they don’t provide demo raquets and sometimes it’s difficult to choose the correct one. I will go for the Gravity MP. Merci JP!
@@team-tennisenglish1514Finally I bought the V Core 100, thinking about something with more power and spin and specially more easy to use, handle in games than my previous Blade V6 98. I was afraid that the Gravity MP have too much control for me. With V Core 100 I feel very comfortable, I can play without tired my arm/shoulder during 2 hours. Lack very little control that I managed with effects and tension string . I prefered in the global this bit lack of control. Very nice racquet VCORE 100. Excuse for my poor English 🙏
