Great review…I love this racquet at its stock weight…I played with Speed Pros for years at 336g-340g and my new Extreme Tours are 328g with an overgrip and dampener, I tried a few different weight setups up to 335g and just didn’t like it on this racquet as it took the fun whippy nature away..I’m quite strong and even though it sometimes feels a little light, I find this racquet powerful enough and stable enough to not have to compromise with its awesome manoeuvrability…I tried the New Speed Pro, Radical Pro, Gravity Pro, VCore Pro 97D, Ezone 98, Pure Aero 98, Pure Strike 18x20 and I liked the Extreme Tour more all round and especially on my single handed backhand
Thank you. I understand you like the extreme for its manoeuverability and power. Nice control racket with great power at the same time, spin and easy to swing.
Nice review! I just bought the racket but I am not sure which strings and tension I should go for. I generally use Alu Power at 55 on my Blade but I hear that it won't fit to this racquet. Do you have any suggestions? (4.0)
Jean-Pierre, Did you play with the Shift 300 stock, or did you add some weight. I just got my Shift… I will add a wrap, and may add some weight to the hoop. How ( where and how much) should I do that? ciao, John
I didn't modify anything. For the customization, complex to explain in a short message. I think there are advice on Tennis Warehouse site. I'll add some advice on team-tennis.net.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 I like this racquet, so far, especially with my one-handed backhand… There have been some reports of arm pain after a few weeks… probably a string issue… All the best, Jean-Pierre
@@johnnacke2017 I don't know because I consider it's personnal. I played with Luxilon Element and Prince Duraflex and both were fine as long as I played with a low tension around 22-20 kg.
Great review! Vs the Shift? Which one do you prefer? Played with the Graphene 360 version for a while but thougt it had some stability issues when you get pusched around, dispyte alot put on led in different places.
Hi. Hard to say. Maybe the Radical MP because it feels a bit more solid but it's close. I test the latest radical MP very soon, it'll help me to answer that 🙂
The Boom Pro is heavier, more difficult to swing. I loved it but with fatigue I lost swing speed. If I had really to choose, I'd choose the Extreme Tour but I'd prefer to pick yet another racquet ; Yonex VCore Pro 100, Head Gravity MP, Wilson Blade 98S, Wilson Shift.
Hey ! Pure Aero 98 more solid, less "empty" in the head, a bit stiffer, a bit less comfortable, maybe a bit less powerful but close. Extreme Tour easier to swing due to the very light head.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 Thanks for the info. I have switched from speed to extreme tour but this PA98 is always on my mind to try out…😅but I’m little bit tired of switching racquets. Extreme is great and even headlight balance is nice surprise in terms of easier and more faster head speed, spin…well I will have to try PA98 just to be sure that I’m not missing anything 😅
Hi and great review! Is it similar to the Radical MP? Specs look quite similar (I'm currently playing with the Blade 98 (16x19) and looking for something with slightly more power but with a plush, controlled feeling)
Thank you. Not far from the Radical but the Radical is less head light, less top spin friendly, more versatile maybe. Both are a good idea to have a bit more power than the Blade 98. Maybe the Wilson Shift 99 also.
@@johnnacke2017 Not sure. I'd need to test the latest Radical, I could like it. But I like to play with the Shift, I prefer to to the Extreme Tour. It's only personal preferences.

Thanks for the review! All I hear is good things about this racquet, a lot of people switching to it.
It'll depend on every player's needs. My advice is to not follow what others think, to test it and to see your feelings.
Great review as always. You're the best reviewer I've seen on UA-cam. Please test out the Radical MP Auxetic!
Thank you ! I'll try to have it for a review.

I prefer the Shift. I'm bothered with that empty feeling in the head and I don't want to add lead tape.
Hello! Which one do you prefer more fore one handed backhand - Radical MP or Extreme tour?
I'd like to know this as well.

How is power compared to Prestige MP L? Which one do you prefer?
Thanks for the vid
Power maybe easier with the Extreme Tour but I prefer the prestige MP L that I really like. Feels more solid.
@@team-tennisenglish1514 Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
I felt that the sweetspot in the MP L is larger than the extreme tour
@@TheAppi83 Thanks. I felt also the sweetspot was small on the Extreme Tour
@@TheAppi83 Possible because the head is bigger for the MP L.
