    What does the future hold for CT? Keep hearing intervential cardiology will take over as advancements in technology and minimizing operations is the norm.

    What do you think about future of Cardiac Surgery? You think it is dying speciality as many people tell, because of the Interventional Cardiology and transcatheter technology that took many procedures form Cardiac Surgeon field? By the way, nice video!

    I don't really understand the reasons why you don't wanna be the surgeon or cardiac surgeon, if you like it. Believe me, it's really great job and I'll never forgot the day when I first performed heart transplantation. I hope, nowadays in my 39 age, I'm not so old to tell you the reasons why to go for it 😁 Yeah, it's about long training, deep knowledges (not only just about human heart), multidisciplinary approach, really good operation routine and skillness, but it's absolutely great. When I was a young guy I just a dreamed about it, admired these guys and never believed that I could reach it. But don't dream your life, let your dreams come true, that was my effort. If you already chose more suitable speciality for you, sorry for my response. But cardiac sugery is...something really special and great 😁👍

      Thank you David I appreciate your comment, I’m still looking through different specialties, though the problem is I came into medical school with a closed mind only wanting to do cardiac surgery not really exploring other specialties, now it feels like many doors have opened knowing that I have so many options to choose from but again thank you for taking the time to offer your insight

      Hey how is the lifestyle of a cardiac surgen?
      Are you always at work or do you can spend some time with your family?
      Im also interested in surgery but fear that I will never be there for my family

    • @dn8276
      @dn8276 4 роки тому +2

      @@jd_6029 This work is really great. Especially when you're a little bit more experienced in it and you can focus on some more complicated procedures (multiple valve procedures, valve sparing operations, aortic dissections, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, etc). Last year, I collected 435 overtime hours (shifts, long lasting operations, emergency procedures, etc - but pssst, because EU regulations allow only 415 overtime hours per year 😁). It's absolutely mandatory to spare time for yourself and your family. My wife is really great (she's MD also) and respect claims of my job. Except this, it's necessary to have some hobby. Some colleagues are really enthusiastic athletes, but I prefere my Honda Rebel 500ccm cruiser for prevention of the burnout syndrome 😁

    His sterile technique is abit off as you should not put your hands out side your gown because it exposes them to many types of bacteria even in the most sterile of places. You should put the gloves over the cuffs and then push your hands into them. But great job I enjoy watching ur vids

    Does not make sense since you wear airpods during the time of surgery. You seem a cool doctor though. Good luck! Stop wearing AIRPODS and follow SAFETY PROCEDURES.
