Your bike B.A. , still a Busa and most probably a very good upgade. More comfort, better view in traffic, better control leverage whilst slow riding on the back brake filtering, easier to man handle the Busa around your garage. The heart of the BEAST remains. Good for you Sir, ENJOY!!! 🇬🇧🏴👍
I was just getting into that ya bugger!..sensible upgrade my good man. I couldn’t be doing with the sporty stance these days either. Ps, would you believe I was drinking a can of Corona as you showed us the Corona?!.. mad eh ha ha..and Corona in a can..who knew, it’s a new one to me..look forward to part 2 and I’m intrigued to see how you get the pimple of the switch gear lined etc for drilling the bar, or will you file the pimple off like many do lol? 😂
Nice. I have the same set up on my wp you won’t regret it much nicer on longer stints as for the diaphragm I’d change it for a new one as they do breakdown over time 👍
I might be being really dumb, as per usual, what is a ‘wp’? Two new diaphragms on the way from fowlers. I’m a little concerned with the angle of the reservoirs and not having enough fluid when leaning over. Can’t find anyone complaining about it on the internet, s’pose if their brakes failed they’d be dead and unable to complain🤷♂️. So might get some gsx 1250 reservoirs/ master cylinders, don’t really want remote reservoirs. All I can find is oem suzuki ones at the moment, no nissin ones🤷♂️. I’ll keep looking or lean the bike over to level the reservoirs then fill and seal them . . . hmmmmm 🤔
@@bikerantics5001 wp lol sorry gsxr 1100 1993 old like myself interesting what your saying about your reservoir angles and the amount of fluid is their no adjustable mounts for them 👍
@markstaley5922 nice machine you’ve got there 🫡. I’ve been back out the shed and removed the reservoirs, levelled them, topped them up and re-fitted them. The bike has been parked on its side stand overnight with tissue under the reservoirs to catch any leaks, so far no drips showing so maybe I sorted that🤷♂️. I may still invest in the proper square reservoirs from maybe a GSX 1250 or V-Strom🤷♂️
@@bikerantics5001 the original reservoir from the 1250 bandit is black as are your new bars so won’t look out of place good luck the joys of bike building lol😂
20:15 To the 750 just the change from ruber line to braided made my brakes So much better. Still have to draw air 2-3 times a year ,but apart from that the brakes are awsome, which is kind of a thing for a gsxr.So i think braided lines are the most efective change for these bikes.I think you ll notice a diference my friend. I run oem pads even in the track and had no worries.
I’m definitely not getting as much of a spongy feel to the system, definitely inspires more confidence in the brakes👌, Which I’ll put down to the lovely new braided lines🫡.
Just fitted the abm kit on my busa, but I left the Oxford grips off as I found the bars myst be slightly thinner. With plenty of glue it might be possible but I will be interested how you find it . And I drilled the locating pins for the controls , don't want them moving about on the busa. Buell footpegs next .!
Are you running the stock reservoirs and if so Have you any concerns with the angle of the reservoirs and lack of fluid when leaning the bike🤔. I’m thinking of leaning the bike over to level the reservoirs then topping them up before re-sealing and standing the bike back up🤷♂️ or investing in some GSX1250 reservoirs 🤷♂️.
@mrrocket400 just been to the shed and taken the reservoirs off, topped ‘em up, re-sealed and fitted them back on. Left some cloth ‘n’ tissue under them to monitor for any leakages. Then came back in to see your message, is it great minds that think alike or are we just fools🤷♂️🤣
Brakes for me are really the only downside they fade far too quick, last time my brake fluid was the same colour as yours like brown tea ended up having complete brake failure due to not changing the brake fluid more often basically boiled the fluid lost all braking (very scary) had to have both disc replaced, calipers rebuilt all seals replaced and all pistons replaced, Boiling point of fluid was like 110c, boiling(dry) point should like 230c, not changing my fluid every 2 years was all my fault and a expensive one, Goodrich braided hoses made a big difference as well.
Sounds like your rubber hoses had started to perish inside but to need discs and full caliper overhauls is a really neglected braking system crying for love😱
Ok, I've been following what you've been telling me, and now I don't have a bike, just a pile of bolts in one corner and a frame in the other corner and my clutch and brake fluid looks like thick grease carry on what's next 🤭🤦♂️🤣🤣

Thanks for the vote of approval, gladly excepted🫡.
I had straight handlebars on a previous Busa and it made a world of difference 👌.

Straight bars? Nooooooo. 😥 BUT, If it' makes it comfortable, so be it. 👍
