Making a Buried Capsule Irrigator

  • Here is the second type of irrigation in our low tech, low cost, high efficiency irrigation series. It is the buried capsule and provides an enclosed reservoir of water which can be buried at variable depths. It is suitable for use in the ground and in large pots.

    Great job, does it need a small hole in the top of the plastic container to stop suction?

    Love it. I am saving up to buy pots as we speak. I wonder if I could use washing water in them or would that eventually clog up the terracotta?

      Hi Jude, I am not 100% sure but I suspect that you would get a build up on the inside that would at least reduce their effectiveness and probably over time clog the pores in the terracotta completely.
