I just picked mine up for $900 in Silver 10/10 condition with the manuals, box, and extra accessories. Such a beautiful camera. I was going to get the X100V but the price is not worth it and I really like the D-Pad on the F because they remove the D-Pad in the V.
I have a X100-F and after 2 months it got some problems with light metering and soon after that also with focusing. Brought it back to the shop and they agreed that it was a serious problem so they send it to Germany for repair (Fuji repair for The Netherlands) however it could take 6 weeks to get it back. So after a day or two I start looking for something next to the Fuji and saw an affordable used Leica Q. Tried it out but it is not my thing. After two weeks I wend back to the photography shop and talked about having a X-T2 next to my X-100F with some nice lenses. After an hour fiddling with the X-T2 with a kit lens and a 56 1.2. I missed my X-100F even more. I WANT MY X100F BACK, I don't want a Leica Q nor a X-T2 nor a X Pro 2. Watch out these X100F's get you addicted ;-) But.... this is not that handy camera for the average Joe. It has to grow on you.
Sorry to hear your x100F has problems! Hope you get it back soon. Yes, it is really a camera that is well designed and so much fun to shoot with! Interesting to hear that you prefer the X100F over the Leica Q. Never used a Leica but have friends who love them.
No problem, they will fix it. About the Leica Q, with that lens it is a great camera and FF . Basically it is a cheap camera although it's around 4300 dollar/euro. If you would buy that lens separately, it would cost you more than the Leica Q so the camera is basically for free. And , it's my opinion and to be clear, I am not suggesting that the images of the X100F are better but overall the X100F will give you more bang for your buck and I prefer the handling of the X100F over the Leica Q but that is pure personal. Leica shooter will probably say the opposite. BTW I come from Canon 5D FF.
I purchased a Fujifilm X100F digital camera in December 2019. Took me a while to get used to it and figure out how to take advantage of all it's built-in features. It has a lot of capabilities but my favorites are: variety of film simulations (my favorites are Velvia for color, Acros for monochrome); the built-in filter simulations (3x neutral density, several filters for monochrome including red for maximum contrast enhancement), built-in digital 'zoom' for std. 35, 50, and 70mm equivalent focal lengths, exposure preview feature in the electronic viewfinder, manual focus assist, etc. etc. the camera is just full of features; and last but not least: it has a solid substantial 'feel' and just looks retro-cool!
What an amazing review, i adore your minimalistic commentary style and the, nothing but amazing, visuals. You have a channel that deserves thousands of followers! Keep it up and don't let your "bad" english influence your great videos!
Great video and a well thought out review, Samuel. I'll be getting an X100F next summer when I graduate from university as a present to myself. Congrats on starting the new channel, I'll be sure to check out the other one as well. Cheers!
Thanks man! Appreciate it! It was not easy to finally do a youtube video haha... Hopefully I will get used to it more. Awesome graduation gift! : ) Well worth the wait.
Hi very good video and pictures ! i love them. i am also interested in this Fuji x100f it might be mine one day. I am currently using 5d3. Keep it up !
Hi Nhat, thank you! The 5D3 is an awesome camera! If you wait a bit the x100F will probably drop in price. Now its pretty fresh in everyones mind. I think 5D + X100F is a killer combo for weddings or event stuff :) happy shooting
Nice review. I was very pleased that you showed some of the different film simulations. 👍 I have the Xpro1 and have been debating on getting the X100F, so you helping me make up my mind. 😀 Looking forward to see more of your reviews.
Thanks Satya. I try to show stuff that I would enjoy seeing mysef. And I always wanted to see good film simulation examples :) I was also thinking about getting a used x-pro1 before I bought the x100f. But I prefer the small compact size of the x100f. So how did I change your mind? :D
Nice review. Thanks to your close ups I know now that there is glass above the iso dial. I have the camera for months now, but I thought it was just open. :)
Adobe standard is a setting on the F? I have been using Adobe RGB with Pro Neg Hi on my X-E2S. Only to hold back those white balance blues and oranges in camera.
Great video - can you tell me how to get the Fuji film simulations in Lightroom? Is it with the X-LR plugin (which is a paid for plugin) or is there another way? many thanks
If you use the current versions of photoshop or lightroom it should be under 'calibration'. No need to download anything! Try to update lightroom and see if it changes anything. Hope it helps!
How do you manage 2 channels? I have a tech channel, thinking to get my first X100F or TL2 or a Q to start a photography channel, but I also want to start a Lego channel, do you think I should combine tech and photography channel? And how do you link to your AdSense account? 3 channels into 1 Adsense account or separated? And how about Gmail/Google account? 1 or 3 gmail/Google account for each channel?
I started my cinematography channel ages ago and only uploaded portfolio stuff. This channel will be my focus now. I think the more you specialize your content, the better and more successful it will be. Tech and photography can go hand in hand if the tech content has something to do with photography. But I am no expert on youtube :D just starting out really... And I only have one Adsence account. It isnt even validated yet. Not sure what do to do with it now. I have a seperate Google account for each channel.
Sam, what do you think about getting this x100f for my primary camera... since i don't have any good DSLR such as Canon 5d, instead only 600d +Canon EF-S 18-55mm... anyway thanks for the video
Hi Ruben, thanks für taking the time to watch it, appreciate it! The question is, how much do like shooting with 35mm and also would you miss the many lens option you have with your DSLR? I think you probably get better image quality with the X100F compared to your 600D. But most people buy a X100 camera because they love the feel and look of it. It's a rangefinder style (not true rangefinder though but stillt diffrent experience then dslr) and therefore you experience of shooting is really diffrent. The best would be to ask yourself what you want to shoot most of the time and if you can deal with not having any other lens options (fuji has good converter lenses though) and then try it out somewhere if you have camera store in your area that has it. Hope you find something helpful here. Happy shooting!
Samuel L. Streetlife good thoughts... I have to think about it.. well thanks for replying.. because I have other option to pick x-t20 + 23mm f2 well it's the same price as getting x100f .. haha that's why I have to think hard which one I will buy😁😁😁
You know what... This was my EXCACT situation haha. A friend of my wife came to visit us from the US and he had a X-T20 and this was the first time I had a Fuji camera in my hands. I was soooo intrigued with it that I was always thinking about buying it. Also because I loved that it shoots beautiful 4K. I could use it as an awesome B-Cam for my videoshoots and the touchscreen and flip out screen is really useful for streetphotography... I knew that the x-t20 is the best value for money camera from fuji. But although it does everything really well, it doesn't have the simplicity that the fuji x100f has. So I went to a camera store and played with both (actually they only had the x-t10 and x100t) and after trying them out my heart decided to go with the x100f haha. So my advice would be just go with your heart lol. In the end, their both diffrent cameras so it really becomes a personal choice.
Samuel L. Streetlife EXACTLY!! Lol well I'll go to Fuji corner and try x100f, last time I went to Fuji Corner they did not display the x100f instead the "T" ver. So I will check another store... Both are great products.. and I will try to follow my heart which one best for me😁😁
I did a long term project during my time in university with a pentax camera and one of my teachers worked for Pentax (now ricoh). And he wanted to use my photographs for the ricoh booth at photokina. And that is how it started. Now I have not much to do with them anymore. They wanted to give me the new GR3 but Ricoh Japan said I have too much Fuji stuff online so I am out :-) No hurt feelings though
I cannot comment about the leica cameras as I never owned one or tried one myself. I heard good things about the Leica Q but we are talking about a 4000$ camera...
I will never ever burn my hands on a Sony. It's not a camera company but an electronic company. Has no glass, has no Photography pedigree, do not update their cameras with firmware but instead of that bring out new models every year, and their customer services is the worst on the planet. However, they are the wake up call for Nikon and Canon FF cause they became lazy owning the DSLR FF market for years. It's good they up the ante . Fuji is a brand without pretensions, good pedigree, they have no bad glass only good and excellent. I waited 10 weeks for my X100F. They don't flood the market with half designed camera's. But the images of a A7R2 are beautiful and of great quality. Tried it, it's not my thing.
You have been watching too many Ken Wheeler videos and not doing ANY research yourself. Even though they 'bought it in' Sony have photographic experience with their Minolta background.
Do not buy Fuji cameras. My lasted two years only. Don't even think about fixing it - the price is the same amount of a new one.I really regretted buying Fuji.

0:52 Spark joy!
Hahaha @3:20 I can´t be the only one who caught that reference!!???
Really good buddy!
At least someone gets it! :D My voice is not deep enough though haha
OMG! Fuji + streets of Japan is a guarantee for good vlogs! Can't wait!
YES!!! :) Can't wait to finally try this camera out for streetphotography. Probably going to do some pov photowalks.
Lovely the martial arts group shot on the Canon just fabulous and yes it certainly has a 3D look
Starting from the beginning of your journey this is gonna be fun!
I am just about to buy one.
Very clean, no nonsense review. Enjoyed it very much. Safe travels. Looking forward to your experience in Japan
Thank you hideki. Appreciate your comment! Will definitely post something while in japan.
What an amazing review, i adore your minimalistic commentary style and the, nothing but amazing, visuals. You have a channel that deserves thousands of followers! Keep it up and don't let your "bad" english influence your great videos!
Thank you Tim for the very kind words! Appreciate the support!! Much love from Germany
Ja dann fällt die Kommunikation in Zukunft, für beide, etwas leichter...
I love my x100f! it is such an amazing camera, I have it everyday in my bag! it is the ideal camera for street photography :)
Yannis Karalis please tell me, does she take portraits well? does not distort the face of 35 mm?
Thank you for the video! Do you have any favorite accessories that you use with your X100F? Looking forward to viewing your other videos!
Thanks for the comment Joseph! I only have (and love) my Grip from JB Camera designs. And the Lens Hood from JJC.
Subscribed! Hoping for more X100F coverage
Thanks Mico! Working on it!

Thanks Samuel for these informative and often entertaining videos. Do you have experience and opinion about the very first X100 series?
I never had the original X100 in my hands so I don't know much about it sorry!
Good job buddy. I really enjoyed the review especially the beautiful pictures comparison. Subscribed.
Awesome. appreciate it!
Good video. 👍🏼 Keep up the good work. Finally my question is answered, whether I can apply the film simulations later in RAW.
+Sounava Ghosh awesome! Glad you got something out of it :) and thanks for the support!
Nice review. Thanks to your close ups I know now that there is glass above the iso dial. I have the camera for months now, but I thought it was just open. :)
Haha, I'm glad you finally got closure about the ISO dial :D happy shooting!
Adobe standard is a setting on the F?
I have been using Adobe RGB with Pro Neg Hi on my X-E2S. Only to hold back those white balance blues and oranges in camera.
Replied to your question in my Q&A video :) In short: It's not a setting on the X100F. Only in Lightroom.
Lovely review and video. May I ask what camera you are using to film your video?
Never mind.It must be the C100! I actually already subscribe to your cinema channel (which I love).
Yes it's the c100 mkII! :D Thanks for your comment and your support!!
Nicely done Mr Streetlife
Can you put filters while shooting photos while uou shoot raw?
Yes!
hi there, how do I compensate ev increments without using the upper dial ? in semi auto mode and full auto mode ?
Sorry man I don't know... But you can assign some of the dials to do half or full increments.
Great video - can you tell me how to get the Fuji film simulations in Lightroom? Is it with the X-LR plugin (which is a paid for plugin) or is there another way? many thanks

hey Samuel
how are the conversion lenses for the x100f ?
Do they reduce the sharpness?
I only have the Teleconverter. But I find it to be really sharp! Even at f2! : )
How did you pick the film simulations in Lightroom? I've never notices that
You can find the Film Simulations at 'Camera Calibration' in Lightroom. It's all the way down in develop mode. Hope it helps!
Sam, what do you think about getting this x100f for my primary camera... since i don't have any good DSLR such as Canon 5d, instead only 600d +Canon EF-S 18-55mm...

Thank you!
Cool channel personally I prefer the X-Pro2, but it is a close choice
Nothing wrong with the X-pro2 :) I was also really drawn to it. It's a real workhorse.
I hope that they will make a x-pro that looks as clean and sexy as the X100F does
What settings do you use with Acros?Just the default ones or do you mess with the highlight and shadow tones and the sharpening and NR settings?
I changed the settings a bit. NR is off at all times. Highlights to -1 (sometimes-2) and shadows -2. Sharpness +2.
How did u become a ricoh ambassador?
I did a long term project during my time in university with a pentax camera and one of my teachers worked for Pentax (now ricoh). And he wanted to use my photographs for the ricoh booth at photokina. And that is how it started. Now I have not much to do with them anymore. Thank you Anthony!
Which camera you used to make this video?
Canon C100 Mark II
Who should get Fuji X100F?
Who should get Leica TL2?
Who should get Leica Q?
I cannot comment about the leica cameras as I never owned one or tried one myself. I heard good things about the Leica Q but we are talking about a 4000$ camera...
X100F and for the difference in price, take a nice holiday and shoot a lot of images ;-)
RS how about the upcoming Sony A7 III or Sony RX10 IV or Sony RX100 V or X100F?
I will never ever burn my hands on a Sony. It's not a camera company but an electronic company. Has no glass, has no Photography pedigree, do not update their cameras with firmware but instead of that bring out new models every year, and their customer services is the worst on the planet.

Bruh I don't use Photoshop
Fuji Porn! Love it!
