Learned how to make charcoal from another country today. Good job
Thank you 🙏
Nice one 👍🏽
What genius to an American eye! Our people are rich with wisdom, knowledge, and ingenuity!! I am proud to be a part of such people's. May God continue to bless you. I have never witnessed such a thing in my 71 years, I am convinced that our ancestors had great God given knowledge that I am discovering thru UA-cam! Technology if used correctly is a blessing. Thank you and keep sharing the truth.
Hi Carmen, thank you so much for putting a smile on my face. It's so nice reading comments like this one. Am glad I made this video. May God bless you🙏🙏🙏🙏
try to find out how the Thais make charcoal in drums, they have purer charcoal, pyrolene extract, less work and more efficient. Even so, it is commendable that they have this initiative. God bless you!
@@mauricioalvesmartinsevaris4036 I will research on that to see if we can do similar. Thank you so much
@@vee20 I'm happy if I help you, God bless you!
Nice sharing

Thank you 🙏
Good work ❤
But it's a long process
We don't use Charcoal but I only wish if our ancestors could bring the art with them when they left Africa but maybe it got lost when they interact with other island Countries as they sail along for better place in the south pacific. I'm trying to learn a lot from you guys the African Utubers . Thank you Vee
Am so happy to hear that you are learning my dear. Thank you very much🙏🙏🙏🙏
I watched men making charcoal in Katakwi district, but in the USA we do not make our own charcoal.... but i am able to!!!
Nice. It's quite a tiring process but worth it.
You are amazing, such a hard worker I love it. We do not use charcoal daily but for special occasions when having a barbecue.
Your family is truly blessed having you to help
I'm impressed 🤗

Thank you 🙏
This is different. We use barrels to make charcoal
Love to help hard working people
Thank you so much 🙏
A long process. Must be time consuming to sort the charcoal from the mud at the end.
It's quite a process. But once you get used to it it's quick. The part I hated is checking if there were no holes getting out of it at night.
nice one, brought you some new subscribers
Wow. Aki asante sana 🙏🙏🙏
It's real amazing, Do you use wet wood or dry wood to process charcol ?
We used wet
How often do you add water and why put water
We add water to the soil to reduce the heat. We do it when it gets very hot
We do used charcoal but never really seen the process how it m.... first time of seeing this
Wow. Am glad I showed you this 🙏🙏🙏. Thank you very much dear

You are truly hard working pretty lady.
Thank you so much Voidd 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wow very informative … is there a certain kind/type of tree you have to use to make charcoal?
Hi Angela, thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏. Yes, there are trees that can only make good charcoal. Heavy charcoal that doesn't burn to ashes quickly.
@@vee20 thanks for sharing ♥️
Sadly, we go to the big box store
Yes
🙏
We do not make charcoal in my village, even though we have tree arround, they are not good for making charcoal so we use them just for cooking. We also have charcoal stoves but we buy the imported charcoal from Angola at our village market. This is a very interesting video Vee👏🏿👏🏿
Good morning my dear, good to read from you. Am guessing that means you buy the charcoal very expensive 🤔. Thank you so much🙏🙏🙏
Similar way we do it in Namibia
🙏💕
We use charcoal mainly for cooking outdoors on a grill. Unfortunately we have to purchase it. It is a great heat source.
Hi dear for us we use it to cook all types of food when we can't use the three stones to cook. It's especially amazing when cooking Chapatti
Hello, I buy my charcoal at the store for grilling burgers and steak. It costs a lot, 25.00 U.S.A. dollars, for 40lbs. Thanks for showing us how you do it. I'm off to see what else you filmed. Thank you!
Hi, I just converted that money to our local currency and I must say it's aloooot of money for 40lbs. Thank you so much for watching my videos🙏
👍❤️🙏

How do you source so much wood for the fire. It can be hard in a city area here in america. It is like a breath of fresh air to see people doing things like this outside of the city. I will likely try this when I move out to my grandparents home.
Im also surprised by how much clay there is in that soil. Oh and have you heard about swidden agriculture. People take logs, branches, and then leaves and stack them. they put on soil and then its is good for plant growth.
@@ReaperCodes1911 hi, yes I have heard about it but we have never tried. I also like it when I am out of the city. It's beautiful, fresh air. We have a lot of trees. So once in like 3 years we cut some and make charcoal to be used when it's cold.
This is great, is it a a must to use dry wood😊
Hi, no the wood is not dry. Only the one that is starting the fire
Thank you sister. ❤
🙏💕
What happens when rain falls, do u have a solution to stop rain from burning the charcoal ?
what's the solution to stop rain from quenching the fire to get a well made charcoal ?
@@samueldavies2949 Wouldn't the dirt mound protect it though? I mean if it's extremely heavy rain then... If you live in a region like that it might be prudent to cover it with an awning.
👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
🙏🙏
Vee you must encourage your villagers to replant trees. As deforestation will cause less rainfall and with the drought the ppl will suffer.
Hi Ann. You are right. We just planted seedlings hope they will germinate

Hey Vee, you can make briquettes out of food and agricultural waste instead of using firewood. Cutting down trees will lead to deforestation. Have you got an email?, I could send you information on how to make briquettes.
Hi Jess. I would love to try briquettes. Here is my email vane.bea03@gmail.com
Good idea but alot of work. However respect way . Thanks alot.

Will you do more videos? I'm very interested in your life experiences
What is the name of your village or town?
Hi, yes, I will do more videos. Currently am working in Nairobi but the village town is Kitale
good english. where is the country?
Thank you. Kenya 🇰🇪
How often do you make charcoal?
Once in like 3 years
What part of Kenya are you from?
West pokot
This puts sciences to a strong test as there cannot be fire without oxygen. But seeing this I am really confused as to what to believe.
Hi my dear. You just made me remember the science I learnt in school and I laughed. But I think there is some air that we trapped inside while putting the soil 😀

Well my girlfriend was telling me about stuff like that She's over there somewhere in Kenya no communication I live in the United States.
Hi Leck 👋. Am happy to hear she tells you about things like this one. And am more happy that you will get to see more of Kenyan village life through this channel. I hope you have fun 😃 . Thank you so much and have a Merry Christmas
