would love to pick up one of these but hopefully i should be getting an ender 3 pro soon off a friend who has lost passion for the hobby already got a few upgrades planned for it as it currently has the old 8bit board will be replacing with a 4.2.7 board and adding a bltouch to it.
I ordered the S1 Pro a couple of weeks ago. According t of Creality website, it won't ship until sometime in May. Had too many issues with my last printer,, and I' really don't have time to play the upgrade game. Wanted something pretty much plug & play. Excited, for this to get here.
Hi, Thanks for another great video, you have convinced me finally to go for the S1 pro . Those prints were just fantastic, what profile did you use for them , what was the filament, look forward to your next video . Thanks again
Hi there, I am very new to 3d printers. I was going to order s1 pro but got scared after seeing a video where this direct extruder got filament jammed. Have you faced anything like this with your printer? 😔
Pretty sure I know the video you are talking about. Please bear in mind he was explicitly performing a high stress test with a lot of retractions in a short time, and it would be unusual circumstances to have a piece as complex as the thing he was trying to print which is designed to see where failure points are. I also think he probably took the more complicated route to get to the part he needed to, given some of what he said in the video. That said, extruder jams are almost a fact of life in 3d printing. The whole piece can come off and if you take your time and are methodical, this is very doable, you just need to know which screws go where. The fact that the whole extruder can come off, you put a new one on, or you take it to a quiet work area for a repair, is fantastic and can be much harder on other printers. So, if you are going to get a different printer, you'll still have jams and maintenance could be even more awkward. I think going into the whole hobby, even with a machine as capable as the S1 looks to be, with the understanding you _will_ need to troubleshoot on something sooner or later, is a good idea.
Can't get my prints to stick. Had it for 3 days, lost several due to adhesion issues. Print quality is less than my Ender 3 V2. I am suffering buyers remorse at the moment...
