      Thank you!! I'm so happy with how it came out. I kind of wish I had made a bunch of necklaces with the paint instead of doing the sketchbook spread! 😂 I may need to buy more at some point.

    Hi, Shana! Whatever your feelings about a messy day in the studio, this video was great fun - in part, _because_ it was gloriously messy, and in part because of your own bubbling enthusiasm and excitement. Oh, and your not-waiting for it to be fully dry... It's all so ... normal, so ... human, and so wonderfully childlike (please note: _not_ childish!!!!) Yes!!!! .
    Allowing ourselves to be full of childlike excitement and wonder is something that is frowned on. We have to be so controlled in all our emotions. It's absolutely glorious to just 'be ourselves' and you were, in this video, allowing the inner child to be free to imagine, to play and get messy. Not only glorious, but very necessary for our mental health - doing things like going out and kicking up autumn leaves in the park, or playing the 'What shapes can I see in the clouds' game, or frothing up the washing-up water and making rainbow bubbles (a big advantage of not using a dishwasher, is this one!!!), or 'just sploshing' paint on paper.
    And btw, there's nothing wrong with that painting!!! 😄

      Thank you so much. This comment really makes me smile!
      I was definitely fueling my inner child with this one! I think life is too short to be serious all the time. I always say, when you are an adult, you can act any age you like, as long as your main responsibilities are taken care of. I think it's very important to incorporate play into your everyday life.
      Thanks again for your kind words, I feel seen and appreciated. 🥰

    Oh hell yes, that is so freaking cool!!! I love what you did with your picture and the magic mushroom necklace Shana! Your picture looks like there's a man's face on the lower, right-hand side of the picture. I was waiting for you to say you did that intentionally, but you didn't. Yikes...Happy Halloween!

    What a fun product!! Expensive....but definitely fun! Is it waterproof? Or, lose it's reactive effect over time I wonder? Great demonstration Shana! TFS!!

      Thank you!! The rainbow liquid seems to be waterproof, I didn't see any lifting, but I don't know 100%. It dries similarly to acrylic, so I think it has an acrylic base. But don't quote me on that. I glazed the mushroom with liquitex gloss varnish medium to keep it better protected. It didn't seem to lift when I painted the varnish on, and usually, a non-waterproof medium would. I hope it stands the test of time, especially for the price!

    Have you done anything fun since with it? I have got a couple of their things already and 3 more on the way and yet haven't really touched what u have yet, other to paint a paperclip with black 4.0. I have the holographic paint coming and that's like shift, as it's pure expensive gimmick, but it looks fun.

      Honestly, I haven't. All of the Shift paint is pretty much gone now, after these two projects. It's sad because it's fun, but it just doesn't last long. I need to check to make sure my black paint is still good, because I have heard others say it gets gross after being open for too long. I need to use the black again soon, if it's still any good, lol.

      @@CautionArtistatPlay I recall Rae Dizzle having issues with her black. She is in New Mexico I think, so I wondered if it was the warmer climate there. I'm crossing fingers the paints stay good.

    How did it do on the Apple Barrel and Daler Rowney? Awesome video!❤

    • @CautionArtistatPlay
      @CautionArtistatPlay  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you, Teresa! It did pretty good! I put a clip in the video at the part just before I started my sketchbook piece to show the results. It seemed to do better on the Daler-Rowney than the Apple Barrel, but I think that was mainly because it had more on it than the Apple Barell did. I think it would work fine over any brand. It can also be bought on its own, for about $10.00 cheaper than the kit.
