Just fyi to all you viewers, the impossible burger ISN'T new. The restaurant I worked at in Asbury Park, NJ was selling them for at least the last year. Same goes for beyond burger...also VERY good. Before you judge, I'd say give it a taste because it was very popular. A lot of meat eaters even agreed so 🤷 say what you want....but don't be so judgemental until you try.
Tried one at Burger King it was really great. I was disappointed it was over 5.75 (with cheese) but it was really filling. The more they sell will help drive the price down, and eventually they'll probably only be a couple bucks. If every fast food restaurant has a vegetarian or vegan sandwich choice like this our world would be a much less polluted place and of course we will all be a lot healthier too.
Looks like I'm going to visit Burger King soon. The last time I stepped into a BK lounge was the day after my HS prom. We did an all-nighter at Orient Beach on Long Island and were starving heading back into the City.
I prefer veggie burgers over flesh based ones. Zero indigestion and quite satisfying. Now if they can just get the price point down - they will have successfully bottled lightening. ⚡️🍔
The prices are coming down, slowly, as more consumers choose the verge burger and economies are raked in. But the meat/non-meat issue is not just a matter of a few cents or even dollars more this way or that way. It's about the future of our planet and what we are liable to leave our kids.
@Eric Rivera Most veggie burgers are also too high in added fats from oil. I like tofu, but for a healthy burger substitute, my choice is tempeh. It doesn't taste like meat, but the texture is better for sandwiches. I have come to like the taste. Saitan has good texture too.

I'm a vegetarian, and I'm already on the fence when some Quorn or Morningstar products taste too much like the real deal because I've weaned myself off of them to the point that the real flavor is off putting.
