- This is the First Day in San Fernando La Union PH after a VERY LONG travel from the US. Please consider that while traveling the internet has been very difficult to access so the videos are slightly behind even more so than i originally planned. Thank you so much for all the support. My roots go back to SFLU though I haven't been back myself myself in awhile--great to see it thriving. (Note: next time you need a dentist, try the Hufana Clinic across from the marketplace)

Dont be OA. It's been long been called South china sea since the 1900s even without the political and sovereignity issues. Also the west philippines sea is not an actual term. We have a area of the sea that we have Exclusive economic zone to our west, and thats it. Yes China is bullying our fishermen claiming that our West EEZ is part of their territory, but it does not have to do with symantics. Also we cant claim it as "West philippines sea" bcuz vietnam, malaysia, indonesia also have overlapping claims with china and even with us in that area. Dont do any over reacting comments to vloggers who dont know anything about it. You dont know any issues in the atlantic or indian ocean and seas as well.

Welcome to La Union or known as "Elyu" sir 🌊🌅🌄
La Union is the Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines and La Union already hosted 2 historical International surfing events. The first one was the first ever surfing event of the South East Asian Games 2019 and the recent was the World Surf League - International Surfing Pro 2023 last January 20-26, 2023. Both International events were snatched and won by a 2 natives from La Union. Roger Casugay is from San Fernando City, La Union, he won the SEA Games 2019- Surfing event (gold medalist) and called as the "Hero Surfer" when he helped an Indonesian surfer from drowning. He also received the first ever World Fair Play award (first ever Filipino Athlete to received the historic and prestigious award). Then, the recent World Surf League 2023, Jayr Esquivel from San Juan, La Union won the Long Board for Men's Category and more than 100 surfers worldwide were competed at that time and he also ranked 3rd place in the International Surfing Event in the US. JayR Esquivel is already considered as one of the best surfers in the Philippines. With this, Department of Tourism Philippines and the World Surf League just recently solidified La Union as the "Premier Surfing Destination of the Philippines" and one of the best "Asia's Surfing Hub". Aside from known surfing, La Union has a lot more to offer. It has waterfalls, rice terraces, mountain view decks, mountain resorts, hidden springs, sea of clouds, Botanical Garden, Mini Pyramid, Chinese temple, Stone house gallery, Immuki island (crystal clear lagoons), Lotus farm, River farm, Eco parks (Bauang and Agoo) Grape farm/ grape picking, Museum, Night market, Pugad Adventure (zipline, wall climbing, atv ride, australian rundown, 8 random pools, mini zoo, kayak, etc.) It has also historical churches and watch towers as old as 1500s and a lot more. Beaches of La Union are also diverse it has gray, black, corals, pebbles, cream and a white sand. White sand beaches are more situated in the towns of Luna, Balaoan and some parts of Bacnotan and San Fernando City. San Juan is the known party and surfing area and it has a dark gray sand and it's very similar to the known surfing area in Bali, Indonesia (Canggu Beach). San Fernando City is the Capital of La Union and also the administrative and Regional Center of whole Ilocos Region (Region 1). San Fernando City has also a lot of tourist spots like Christ the Redeemer, Botanical Garden with Museum and Science Centrum, Macho Temple (first Taoist Temple in the Philippines since 1970s), Pagoda Hill, Heroes Park, Pindangan Ruins 1764, Bacsil Ridge, Hidden Spring, Mountain Resorts, WaterFalls, Mini Rice Terraces, Poro Point Areas like Poro LightHouse, Poro Baywalk and the known Poro Cliff. Poro Cliff is also resembles a Beach Cliff found in Bali, Indonesia. Thunderbird Resort and Casino is a 5 Star Resort-Hotel dubbed as "Santorini of Asia" is also located in Poro Point of San Fernando. Poro Point was a former US Military Air Base (US Wallace Station). Known beaches of San Fernando are Acapulco Beach, Gidday Beach, Poro Beach and Canaoay Beach. San Fernando City is one of the most diverse cities in the Northern Luzon Philippines. @@WES-life Sorry sir for the long comment 😄 If you're still in La Union, I hope you will visit La Union's Christmas Village and Night Markets specially in San Fernando it has a lot of Christmas events. You may visit their Musical Christmas Lights at their Plaza, Mini Carnival Rides at Mabanag Hall near Children's Park and their Christmas Village at La Union Capitol Hill. Welcome sir 🌊♥️🏄♂️

La Union is in Ilocos Region and San Fernando City in La Union Province is also serves as the Regional Center of whole Ilocos Region (Region 1)
