It’s 2024 and I was wanting to know more about the NP205. It was so sad to see Jessi, she was such a beautiful and bright gear-head. My heart goes out to her family.
This is where I first saw Jessi, watched for years. Sad to hear the news. God Bless you Jessi, and condolances to your family and friends. She was a special lady.
@@bobbobby1846 Jessi accomplished more in her short time here on Earth then that loser will ever accomplish if he live to be 200 years old he's just jealous because she had more knowledge in her Pinky then he'll ever acquire
I have a np203 in my 75 k20 and I have heard of the chain stretching but never have had the issue with my truck. now i do not get on the trails as much as i like but other then having to change the oil in the transfer it has worked flawlessly.
Ian was the best host for this show. They’ve jumped the shark. I liked Jessi as well. I really don’t like the two they have now - they annoy the F out me!! XOR - should be renamed to buy and bolt on.
If everyone would have noticed, that show was 2010 back when all the show's were good. Now not so much. I remember back when it was just 2 show's. You had Horsepower and trucks. Chew on that for a few.
What would really make a huge difference in rock climbing would be a CPU controlled leveling traction control system that sends air pressure to air bags to plant tires that's not getting a good foot print to the ground that can do it in real time just like a fly by wire system on modern fighter jets
2:45 OK, I have to correct some misinformation here. The OEM's didn't use a divorced TC so they could use the 2wd trans, they did it because it allowed them to place the TC at the center point between the two driven axles. This improved drive train geometer and durability as the forward and read drive shafts were of equal length.
David Blalock so what they say is misinformation? Is it not true they used 2wd type trans? And if im not mistaken they still use 2 different drivelines anyhow. Im sure i c ok uld be corrected
I want to convert a truck to a front wheel drive daily driver mobile workshop. Which old truck(preferably 70s - 80s) I should buy that has a durable transfer case ? The reason for FWD is that I want to have a truck similar to FWD car hauler conversion. But they are ridiculously expensive. Thanks!
Not mentioned are the aluminum NP 205-F that came in many late 1980s trucks and Broncos. This is what I have and can't find much of any mention of them anywhere. Would REALLY appreciate a video on NP-205-F
I have to bookmark as I have a short memory and you have fast camera crew. I didn't expect the wrecking yard bonus and the double gear downs.... Now what about midship overdrives???
i have a 98 montero sport A/T but the transfer case is only 2 to 1. what can be done the most affordably to get little more ratio. like 2.7 to 1 would be sweet.
Your info was slightly off on the 205 input options and you were also missing some info. The Chevy case input spline options were 10(sm465), 27(sm465 & th350) and 32(not 30)(th400) The ford case largest spline count was 31(not 32). The case you didn't mention was the dodge, it was also a passenger style drop and came in 23 and 29 spline inputs. And you didn't mention the (early) "figure 8" and (later) circle mounting pattern and the large and small bearing input options on the dodge and Chevy cases. Other than that, great info.
I wish they made some kind of kit to convert my mp1626xhd transfer case to gear drive or and adapter to bolt an np205 to an Allison transmission that's in my 08 duramax
I watched a 20 minute video and still didnt find out what I wanted to know, which one of them can handle the most power reliably? I'm looking for about 600hp capabilities without it shitting the bed

PowerNation please consider bringing Ian back. I haven’t watched your 4x4 show since he left. It’s not the same.
My cable carrier no longer carries this channel so I'm pretty happy to find it in my suggestions on UA-cam
PowerNation screwed up big time letting Eliza walk away.
God I miss Ian and Jessie, they were the best duo the Xtreme shop did, or will ever have....
With the budget for Power Nation, you would think you have more subs, but when you do builds that no one that works can ever do, we now know.
RIP Jessi
I watched this the other day.
Came back to pay respect
Rest in paradise Jessi, a beautiful woman that knew and was capable of doing sooo freakin much, you will be missed dearly 😭😭😭
Even after she’s gone Jessi is still teaching us. RIP glad you went out doing what you loved.
RIP Jessi Combs
We have lost a true gear head

😂
Love you Jessi. Rest in piece young lady. We miss you very much.

Extreme 4x4 was the best with Ian and Jessie hosting!!! RIP Jess!!! It's sad you passed, but a least you died doing what you loved, hauling a$$!!!
Jessi was always a delight on the show. Extremely knowledgeable and a true enthusiast. A great role model. Missed by many.
RIP Jessi - You'll be Missed
RIP Jessi! I've watched you for years, on Xtreme 4x4 and MythBusters. You will be missed!
Geez... This is the day after Jessi was killed in her accident. Love you, awesome lady. Godspeed.
I want Ian and Jessi back!
Ian is fine jessi was so annoying. She brought nothing to the show, I don't know who she slept with to get on the show but it was a huge mistake.
@@1Shignog Jessie finished 1st in King of the Hammers in her class. she drives and builds.
Sadly it will never happen now. RIP Jessi.

Jessie giggles about a transfer case. I'm impressed.

Ian is soooo Canadian... it’s all aboot PRO-cess. 🤣
Awesome video, that is one tuff transfer case! I miss watching Jesse. she was the best ! Smart, beautiful, and a ultimate gear head. 👍
Thanks Jamie.
Sorry for your loss.!
Miss Jessi.
Passed on, God speed Jessi.
Rest In Peace
I haven't seen this show in many years and I'm so happy it's on here
Ahh the good ole days. I miss seeing Jesse. RIP

This seriously needs to be aired on TV just like a couple of years

The show was sooo much better with Ian and Jessie. Sure wish he would of been given the chance to complete Suburban Survival!
I was watching those shows, then i never seen the end of the suburban. show kept going to other projects. I quit watching then.
Now to end the show we are gonna bolt all of these cases together and install it in our lifted limo

I think the low max is a little overpriced when I could pick up a couple gm np205 for 200 bucks!
At least you could have cleaned them
Chrysler was the only supplier for full size transfer cases. Chrysler owned new process.
New Process (NP) is now New Venture (NV).
@@bobbobby1846 Yes, Chrysler supplied the transfer cases, G.M. owned the building they were produced in. Joint venture. Old muncie 4 speed factory.
Absolutely no mention of Borg Warner? What about the infamous BW1356?
Just finished my Toyota dual cases! Dual Ultimate low!
Rest in peace Jessi Combs

I’m wondering if you can do a 203/205 doubler on a 4L60 or NV3500/4500.
The Transfer can broker when use the traccion 4x4 in the street
Love this show
Np 205 was used in the 70 wagoneer . Its built proof but noisy

Ian did say "racetrack" figure 8, and the large bearing i think depends on spline count or year.
@@bobbobby1846 my bad on those points. I missed that.
Soo sad RIP jessi

Just happened to be there!! LOL Great job Matt!!
Needed this video building 79 bronco
Wow that’s very cool one thanks for sharing & video:))
At 11:00 lol that steering wheel weld though

This was when power nation was good. Good hosts that new their stuff not reading a "Q" card.
RIP Jesse! We lost one of the best.
Jessi!!!
Pretty sure that the LoMax NP205 is discontinued now.
Any lighter cases for 4x4 electric buggy with double dc motor 5Kwatts?
Can I use my np203 with a manual locking hubs
RIP Jess

Anybody know what Ian's new show is titled ? Thanks and cheers.
I've never seen a torque wrench impact gun. Wow.

Seems like just an actor. Look how clean her nails are. Even if you wear gloves all the time you will still have grit
@@raabsand check her out on all girls garage
Shes one of the rare ones.. this show doesn't give her credit
She is an rock bouncer i believe that in 2016 she took 1st in the KOH. She even wrote a book don't know the title.
Literally watched that show for Jessi.. I'd marry her any day of the week
@Bill P lol, I was also 16 when this show came out, so you can figure out why
@Bill P lol I know.. 😘
theres one issue nothing at all about ford transfer cases mentioned
The first 205 was a ford case
What about the rest....ahhhhh
You forgot the land rover defender/ Toyota land cruiser and g class transfer case
Ya they did, because fuck all of us import guys.
Got pretty far into the video befor realizing no more awesome Jesse videos
RIP Jesse C
Do they make a kit to convert a mated Chevy np 205 to a stand alone 205?
When it comes to transfer cases, mated = married, stand alone = divorced.
I watched a 20 minute video and still didnt find out what I wanted to know, which one of them can handle the most power reliably? I'm looking for about 600hp capabilities without it shitting the bed
Master Toast 205 if you need more gearing add the 203 doubler that’s the beefiest set . Use the Ford 205 , 32 spline input /output.
I'd say build yourself a doubler like Ian built in the video with the 6 : 1 low gear. That transfer case is bad ass!
Finally a beautiful face beautiful young lady that knows what she is talking about
what do you think about the hd263 for chevys trucks?
The 263xhd behind the duramax/8.1 are pretty bulletproof as long as you take care of the pump rub issue.
@@Steve_I that's what just did and its great
