TheRick2325 i have been here and watching your bids for a long time now and I have to been deciding to own some shell dwellers in my aqua one 320 27liters and love the vids keep it the amazing work
Awesome fish man!! I have and breed Brevis Kitumba, multis, and most recently Pearly Ocellatus, Shellies are without a doubt my all time favorite aquarium fish, These guys have the heart of a Lion! I would like to find a pair of gold occies
i'm currently cycling a lightly planted 13gal tank for a group of 3, and collecting shells. can you think of any company, other than snails, they might get along with? (larger trumpet snails would be fun. sometimes they will inevidably dig under an occupied shell and cause a little comotion) btw, ive read from multiple sources, that it's a good idea to have at least 2-3 shells per fish. they supposedly even move small ones, they couldnt fit into, next to theyr home, and the fry "play" in it.
I wouldn't put them with other shell dwellers but I did have them with my cyprichromis leptosoma utinta, calvus and smaller kigoma with great success. They are aggressive but I seen them more aggressive towards each other than to other different fish.
I started with three of these little ones, but the male killed one female and the other lady died mysteriously. So the male (Sheldon) is now in with my community tank and he has such a ballsy character, love him to bits. Not risking having him in with my multifaciatus shelldweller tank for sure!!
Good luck with the breeding project. What a cool looking fish!
I like to watch videos on breeding projects! I like these fish so it will be great to see how your do with your project!
Beautiful looking little fish! Super busy too. :) Good luck with breeding them. I'm sure you'll do great!
Ocean Truth Thanks man, they are always digging and moving sand around
TheRick2325 It's nice seeing fish working for a living ..
Those fish look like they'd be a heck of a lot of fun to own.
Fired Up!!! Glade to see you keeping shell dwellers again.
Those guys look great! If I get another ten sometime, I might have to try these!
These guys might have the coolest personality of all fish :)
You might be right

Hi Rick I was wondering what kind of sand gravel are you using. what brand do you recommend if going sand gravel.
wow those are cool little fish don't think I've seen them before. will you be putting in rocks I know most cichlids like them?
I will pass for these guys, just sand and shells...thats all they need
Nice looking fish. What other fish would you recommend as tank mates since they are so aggressive???
I wouldn't put them with other shell dwellers but I did have them with my cyprichromis leptosoma utinta, calvus and smaller kigoma with great success. They are aggressive but I seen them more aggressive towards each other than to other different fish.
What are the water conditions for these little guys?
Tanganyika fish so a high ph and clean water

Very tough little fish for sure, good idea not having him with your multies. Could be a bloodbath.
