@martytuckerfishing summer. I haven't been there in winter much so I don't know if they're around. They aren't an easy catch though in 2 feet of water. Not sure if they are feeding when they're tails are up out of the water rolling around? Maybe chasing jelly prawns? I've cast at them a few times but none have come in the boat. Caught some really big ones in the seaway many years ago but that was on live bait.
awesome mate appreciate the quick reply. I'm a member of anglers warehouse so I'll get onto it. be awesome to chase some shallow reds bream etc on light gear for a change. instead of deep reds all the time. thanks for ya help mate an keep on slayin them on that light stuff
awesome marty love yr vids mate . was wondering where to get hold of that sierra 2/8 lb bfs rod im down here in wollongong an was wondering if i need to get one on line dont seem to be in our tackle shops ... cheers glen .
@@glendowd5711 Thanks mate! I got mine from anglers warehouse at tweed heads. They’ve got a mail ordering service, so you should be able to pick one up from there mate. Great rod too I’m so happy with it. 🤙👍
@@Smikbrick Yeah I guess it made sense that they were there but, they can often be found hanging in very similar environments down the Gold Coast Broadwater around this time of year also. Yeah man if you ever see me on the water come and say g’day. 🤙🙂
@@paulschofield8742 Thanks heaps mate. My boats not that heavy so the forester handles it fine. However, I’m sure if I had a larger fibreglass boat I’d be wanting and a more powerful car.
I've regularly seen tarpon way up the pine in the shallows.
@@solo_dingo yeah true mostly during summer or all year round? 🤔🤙

@@solo_dingo interesting, they are a funny species and seem to almost show anywhere aye from clear sandy stretches in bays to literal dams and swamps.

Ah I know where you are. Nearly sunk my kayak under that bridge last weekend when the bungs came out and it filled with water. Great vid as always.
