The Y2AJ team had a FANTASTIC match with the New Day in I believe a Raw episode in Chicago. That was the match when they broke up. That was a good first feud for Aj who I would say is one of the most consistently booked well wrestlers in WWE (main roster) in recent memory. I will give them credit for that.

Remember when people crapped on AJ vs Jericho as AJ's first real feud? That's one of this crack in time WrestleMania matches you never could've expected a year before and won't happen again.
One man's rubbish is another man's rubber...this was an encouraging start to the New Year. I have high hopes that the WWE will introduce a new "power couple" story that have proven to be successful in the past...think Lana and Rusev and Bobby, Cena and Bella, Miz and Maryse, HHH and Stephanie, Edge and Lita etc. I am petitioning the WWE to introduce Charlotte Flair and Mr. Ric Flair's "son-inlaw" as that storyline for 2021
While I don't enjoy tag matches nearly as much as I used to, I always enjoy seeing a new tag team debut because teams are far more likely than singles stars to come with a true gimmick - and, of course, a good gimmick keeps the two members from being split up for quite a while. So it can be quite infuriating seeing two already established singles stars forming a semi-permanent tag team. Not only do they threaten to hog gold from the lower-card guys, but most of the time they don't bother to create a gimmick - and don't even come up with a name for their team! Thankfully, AEW doesn't seem to have fallen into this trap yet. I also appreciate it when a particularly gimmicky tag team are treated semi-seriously instead of as jokey jobbers. Deuce & Domino (the two '50s greasers) strove hard for the "SmackDown" tag team titles and eventually acquired them, and the New Day struck what I felt was a good balance between gimmickry and realism. (I'm still upset about the Vaudevillains breaking up, though. I think WWE was really on to something there.)
No Can-Am (Rick Martel and Tom Zenk) Connection? Better than replacement Strike Force (Tito Santana succeeding Zenk) and one of the best tag teams back in the day (watch their WM3 match, they were over and had great chemistry).
I know everyone has drilled this point home, but man wwe has so many great tag teams that they break up for no reason. The iiconics are best friends since high school and that chemistry they had was genuine. So you ruin it to do nothing with billie and put Peyton with lacey evans who don't have much chemistry.
