I have a Blacked out Silver and black Tu-Tone 85 Bronco, 351 C6 XLT. I bought it for parts to finish my 85 called BOV1 but am kicking abound keeping it together and finishing it. It is the first Blacked Out Bullnose I have ever seen with the black grill, door handles and the window trim. The Bronco is rotten but I thought the trim package was pretty rare.
Actual fog lights with "yellow" lenses are always mounted as low as possible. If those are "driving lights" they were mounted low for one simple reason. With them on the bumper there was that much less "safety margin" in radiator airflow before overheating. Which means it would overheat sooner since overheating of Ford vehicles with lots of "options" is a matter of when. Not if.
Did the 81 ever come with the Indy pace wheels? I’m restoring an 81 and realized through research it came with the ten hole free wheeling wheels off like a 79 pace truck?
Love those 80's broncos. I'd love to find one for sale even a 90's OJ simpson bronco would do. Unfortunately here in New England , most all of them are rotting away in junkyards since the salted roads in the winter ruin new vehicles within 10 - 12 years.
My 80 has that roll bar, that 3:00 gear ratio is almost painfully slow at times, came with a tired 302 that i swapped for a 351 and then a i6 for reliability
Excellent rad video C . I thought I knew everything about these bullnose trucks but I learned some interesting tidbits about them . What motor is in the XLS ? Would be sweet if u could find a couple of flaresides that were built just like this esp both in black would be killer !
Those two Broncos are beautiful! Great video. I want a 3rd Gen Bronco next
3rd Gens are my favorite! When you're ready for one maybe we'll have something cool or rare for you
I had an 1985 Bronco XLT here in Australia from new, and i miss it. Was excellent. Good video.
That’s cool - I didn’t know they were sold new there!
I just bought a 1982 xls yesterday! Its the blue. I plan on doing a restoration on it.
Well done Chris. Look forward to maybe seeing a sundial some day hint hint
We’re going to get to that one very soon.
Thanks for the great commentary. I learned more about bull nose options in five minutes than in the last 10 years.
Great job.
Thank you! I try to learn as much as possible about the 80-86 fords. Appreciate the recognition!

Awesome video. Looking forward to more on these. Maybe one on OJ and Harrison Ford as well?
Good call! I’ll do one with them soon!

You wanna sell your 78
All great broncos!

My neighbor flipped her 86 Bronco II. Dangerous vehicles. Tall and narrow.
Bronco IIs are a different beast for sure

I hear you on that!
I have a 1982 XLS that I am trying to find someon to restore for me, any suggestions

Cool that yours has the roll bar! I agree, the 3.00 gear can be pretty lazy at times, but sounds like you've found the right combo.
Well done, Chris! Love the trucks. 😍
Thank you, Gary!!

I haven't owned a flareside yet, but have found a couple! Really neat trucks. The XLS Bronco is a 302.
@@LottsOfVintage yet is the key word . I have a feeling u will one of these days !
Great Video. I am looking forward to possible doing a 7.3 upgrade on my 1993 Bronco XLT.
Go for it! Highly recommend!
Great video Chris!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Hey I have a 79 F150 I want to sell. Is that something you would be interested in?
My car has rare radio knobs.
So is the radio rare or the knob?
Bullnose series? How is that a "bullnose"? Google "bullnose Kenworth" and see if there is a resemblance. Or look at a bull's nose.
You wanna sell your 78?
That 78 is already gone, unfortunately.
