  • Hi and welcome to the Camilla Kimono Robe Tutorial. My name is Karolina and in this video, I’ll show you how to make this super easy kimono robe using my pattern called Camilla. This sewing pattern is available in sizes UK 6-16 and you can buy it from my Etsy shop (link below). To make this robe I used 2,5m of linen fabric and the size I’m wearing is a UK size 8. This robe is meant to be a relaxed fit so if you want it to be a bit tighter you can always go a size down. If you have any more questions feel free to leave a comment down below :)

    I really REALLY appreciate sewing tutorials where they clearly show you right at the beginning of the video how the finished item is going to look. I wish everyone did this, it saves so much time when you're looking for something specific

    Hi! This looks like such a cute pattern. Before buying I would like to know: how much fabric is required? What is the width of the fabric? Thank you!

    • @tintofmint
      @tintofmint  4 роки тому +4

      Hi, Thank you and you'll need 210cm of fabric that's 150cm wide xx

    So pretty! Really keen to make one using your pattern and instructions however I'd like it to be full length rather than stopping around the knees. Is this possible to do by just adding more fabric to the pattern....?

    • @tintofmint
      @tintofmint  3 роки тому +2

      Of course, just add desired length to all pattern pieces, simple as that ☺️♥️

    GREAT explanation of your beautiful pattern!
    Is it still available for purchase? I plan to make this in a terry cloth towel material.

    Hi Karolina, thank you for the lovely tutorial. Do you think this pattern would be suited for using silk?

    • @karolinagolek
      @karolinagolek 4 роки тому +2

      Of course! I would perhaps not make the patch pockets in that case, but you can absolutely use silk fabric ☺️

      @@karolinagolek hello! Planning on making this with a silk fabric, why don't you recommend it with a patch pocket? Thanks..

    • @tintofmint
      @tintofmint  4 роки тому +4

      If you want, you can of course make them, but I personally think that with such a delicate fabric the patch pockets would hang down and after a while of using they can damage the fabric on the stitch points if that makes sense. If you still want to have pockets in your robe I would perhaps consider the invisible side pockets :)

      @@tintofmint oh i see.. i thought because the fabric is so soft it would wrinkled if sewn? 🤔 Thanks anyway.. love your tutorial, looking forward to more of your videos..🙏😍

    • @tintofmint
      @tintofmint  4 роки тому +3

      When you sew the patch pockets the needle will make a small holes in fabric and those holes can get bigger when you put hands in the pockets and stretch then, but you're right the fabric might also wrinkle :)

    Great job..but no use..no pattern explanation ,please do if possible many youtubers are explaining right from pattern which makes it easy to make

      Sewing pattern is ready, avilable to buy and dowload and there is nothing to explain. When you cut out all pattern pieces you can then sew it along with the video :)

      That's 3 hours of footage in one video. There is an option in youtube video widow to slow down the video! :)
