Sad news is some members of the hiphop community in Korea refuse to accept RM and Suga as rappers/hiphop artists and of course deny their status and music. They criticized them heavily for joining an idol group and insulted them for wearing make up on stage. If you'll read the english translations of the lyrics, those people are the same ones Yoongi is targetting in this song. The reason why the rapline's mixtapes gained attention is because the armys can see the talent without prejudice. Good news is most popular Korean rappers who got into the game early on have expressed admiration for them and supported them.
It's so fun watching guys fall in love with rapline because of their rap and lyrics and wordplay and powerful presence on stage, and then knowing, as an Army, that rapline is three big softies with the biggest hearts and THAT is the BEST part of them! 💜👍
Proper translation of some lyrics is "I'll send you to Hong Kong with my tongue technology" - sending someone to Hong Kong is (or at least was) a Korean idiom meaning to make someone come. But to get the meaning across more easily, the translator for this video said "I'll turn you on". Sometimes the translation of lyric videos depends not just on the translators personal take on the lyrics but also their personal preferences on conservatism. I've seen some that change "shit" to "poop" haha. Keep up the good work :)
It is true to lyrics that fans do like color coded, etc, I don't like this shit - poop thing too or bastard - bad guy. But here I don't thing it is that big deal, it is official video, and bighit/hybe made CC for this, when MV is on their page they do translations, and I'm sure that someone check up translations before they put in with video, for sure not one person make decision, there is team and they decide that this will be the best for GP, it is a little more PG but still meaning is good and acurate. So yeah I agree that original korean words are more in to your face and for sure have better impact in general, but it is still good real translation... 😉 But I appreciate You for putting this info here. 💜
@@magdalenagabrowska8169 Oh I totally agree! It's not a big deal at all, apologies if I sounded accusing in my post that wasn't my intention at all. It's just a point of interest for people, especially those interested in rap lyrics, to go on a journey of research when lyrics are in a different language. For me, the lyrics are secondary to the power of the beat/melody and voice(s)...which surprises people as I'm a Namgi bias haha ;)
@@magdalenagabrowska8169 I *mostly* trust official MV CC's. But consider the CC for Suga's rap in "That That" -- it barely touches the meaning and reduces it to cliched simplicity. So it never hurts to check up a couple of reliable sites to get a fuller understanding of nuance and wordplay.
There are quite a few sexual references in this song from "tongue technology" to "I'm from the D", and "take you to hong kong" which is korean slang for make you orgasm (but is translated to "turn you on" in the video lyrics). People/reactors latch on to "STD" and think he's ignorant of the meaning, but I really think it plays into the theme. It means his music is infectious and has spread every where.
AGUST D (Suga's solo stage name) is made of SUGA (Backward) + DT (Backward) ♪ "DT" is the abbreviation of "Daegu Town". Daegu is Suga's hometown and "DT" is the name of the underground rap group that Suga was a part of it before joining BTS 💜
Consider doing an album review, you won’t regret it. it’s relatively short and we don’t mind a longer video, usually having the context of all the songs and the flow of the songs helps in understanding what exactly he’s trying to get across.
The last or first love are some you could check out by him, it’s rough if you’ve ever had depression, but I’ve never heard anything so raw, don’t get me wrong all the shit talking songs are deserved and bangers. These just make me appreciate him so much more. He was screaming that shit from the soul lmao
Agust just rhymes with August btw :) thanks guys this was fun Would love for you to check out any of their mixtapes in their entirety too, album reactions are my favorite!
But I'm recommend listening to the live version that was performed several years ago. The original was with another singing featuring but for the live, he convinced Jimin to do it. Though there is now a very recent studio version out, I much prefer the raw grittiness of the live performance (Jimin's vocals), rather than the softer, studio, cleaned up version.
I love people who venture a bit and say "oh, this is BTS?" "this are BTS members?" 7 complete artists I see you in 2025 going to their first concert with army bombs :D MV explanation The fact that he's on a moving trailer I take it as he was tied up, he himself has to try to escape with no help, since the world ain't stopping just for him. When he's done untying himself, everything falls down around him and things don't remain static, he gotta find his balance (now with no restraints). He looks out of the window to check where he's at, his surroundings. Finally, he opens the door (metaphorically!) and sees the world not though the window, but at the same level. After that, he just goes up the stairs and sits down... on top of the world/industry :) (O might be mistaken, but that's my interpretation of things). PS. If you check Give it to me, it follows from this one and you see what happens with the trailer :)
Okay so for Jhope has many great solo songs, currently one of my personal favorites of his are from his new album Jack in the Box. One song is called Safety Zone and another is Equal Sign. The lyrics are amazing and I know you will love the music. For RM, I really love Seoul and Bicycle, these are much softer but very good. Suga has been featured on other artists tracks, both American and Korean. There's Blueberry Eyes with Max, Eight with IU (produced by Suga) and most recently the song That That with Psy, which Suga also produced.
I think my favourite thing about Suga is how emotional his rapping style is. Suga writes a lot of songs about mental health, and because they are so emotional, they suit his style of rapping so well. He often uses different voices and styles to play different characters such as different sides of himself, Intro: Shadow he has an argument with 3 different sides himself, while in First Love he raps as himself and as his piano, with his rap slowly getting more and more desperate and raw leading to the crescendo. He takes you on an emotional journey that is so healing even when you don't real the lyrics. I like to listen in the dark with my eyes shut and just _feel_. Some of these are... So Far Away Intro: Shadow (go with the full length version not the MV, MV is only an argument between 2 sides of himself) First Love The Last
Please check out the under-rated follow up to this song - “Give It To Me”!!! It was even filmed using and continuing this same moving-trailer set story
WOW!! I love that I came across this channel. Not to choose favorites, but I definitely enjoy watching the BTS reaction videos. I honestly have full appreciation for how thorough you guys are with watching them, listening to them, and understanding them. I have watched previous reactions from other channels and I honestly haven't been able to come across authentic reactions like you guys. This is the first video that popped up like an hour ago, first time ever seeing this channel as well, and since then I have been watching all of your other reactions. Most of us like to see such pure reactions because we understand them completely, that's how we can tell whether they are authentic or not. Many like to use them for views, attention, clout, etc. But here it's all just real. Real reactions and being truly impressed. While touching on that we also like to call this time of discovering BTS as "going down the rabbit hole". Because once you get a taste of them everything changes. I know this is quite a long comment, sorry for that, but I really just wanted to express my gratitude and thanks to you guys. Just like when you said, in your podcast, that discovering BTS was chance; that's exactly how I feel about coming across this channel. I hope you guys can receive more love than hate and that many others will find you. Stay healthy and safe-ARMY💜 (P.s. you should react to their story, it will give you an even better insight as to who they truly are and how hard they have worked to get to where they are now. Whether you make a video of it or decide to watch it off the camera, I hope you enjoy it) ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/SrI4AvkABm4/v-deo.html These were two pretty good videos on their story. Much love💜
Rap songs are not mainstream everywhere. BTS have gone so many sh*t just to have their music heard and they made it. And by the way, Suga loves Eminem. His first album purchase was Eminem's album, he said in an interview. BTS made me love rap so much that I'm learning some things about rap and rappers in general. It would be great if he can perform his songs live just as how Jhope was able to perform his songs from his Hope World mixtape and his latest album "Jack in the Box". Suga did a live performance of *Tony Montana* featuring Jimin in a BTS concert. You guys should check that out.
Just now catching up on all your BTS reactions, and it’s really great to see you from the beginning up to (at least where I am) now and how much BTS has grown on you! Y’all are fun to watch! Also, at 6:53 when you said “A,” in my mind I went “to the G to the U to the STD” lol. Borahae! 💜
If yall wanna, yall can watch an introduction video to bts about who they are exactly, as a group and towards each other. The video is A Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor. If yall are willing to watch a long video, then armys definitely will be there with you to watch it coz we dont mind long vids. The video is pretty comprehensive and should answer all the basic and some specific questions that one may have about bts. It should help yall get to know the orgins of rapline as well. I find the vid quite interesting as well hahahaha. Who knows, you might be suprised by some of the stuff in the video :)
I know it is not what you usually react to, but I honestly feel that this introduction will help you understant their rap verses better, because you will know stuff about them that may help you get the idea better despite the language barrier
would love for you to react to our suga’s full mixtapes - he has two as of now! we don’t mind longer videos and you’re both very insightful and going through one of his mixtapes in one sitting would be fun for you! i’d recommend his first mixtape (agust d) as a starting point as his second mixtape (d-2) shows a lot of growth in his mindset since his first. that being said, thank you for checking him out, he’s truly an amazing artist and person 💜
Yes, this song and his rap is sick. I love the way Yoongi raps and his raw and honest lyrics. He said that when he recorded his first mixtape 'Agust D' he had so much anger inside and he went through a lot of difficult and dark times, that's why it's so different in many aspects than his second mixtape 'D2'. Anyways, I can't wait for your to react then to a fully a RM and J-hope solo songs and a Suga feature. By the way, at the beginning of your BTS journey y'all reacted to Arson (J--hope's solo song) but it seems like you forgot so it's ok if you react to more of his solo songs or the same one lol
@@jiminsluvalarm1871 "Send you to Hong Kong with my tongue technology"... "Hong Kong" is sometimes slang for 'orgasm'. He's definitely suggesting things here 😳
As someone who admittedly doesn’t know enough yet about rap artists in general I really appreciated hearing your thoughts about how this song is special because it’s not something we can find mainstream here. Love to always get those insights from you ! PS: that tongue technology 🌚
I love that you guys actually take the time to read the lyrics 💜 Smth that really frustrates me is when ppl react to bts just for the sale of gaining more views and they dont even try to read the lyrics or understand the meanings and just record the most basic reactions to just how they sound or how they look like thats not all bts is
Thank you for continuously dropping various names for me to be informed by. THIS IS (was) NOT mainstream in South Korea. Someone correct me if this isn’t true. They are hip hop but in kpop clothing. So nope, not mainstream in South Korea.
The fact that he's on a moving trailer I take it as he was tied up, he himself has to try to escape with no help, since the world ain't stopping just for him. When he's done untying himself, everything falls down around him and things don't remain static, he gotta find his balance (now with no restraints). If you check Give it to me, it follows from this one and you see what happens with the trailer :)
Oh, I wouldn't say agust d is mainstream "rap". But he shuts pretty much everyone when he so decides :) You have a whole rap industry, you can check Epik High (lesson zero is a must for mankind), YoungJi (she's adorable xD), Bewhy, Loco, CL... And the father of them all, Tiger JK and his wife Tasha Reid/Yoon Mirae. I'd recommend from them maybe the collab with RM "Bucku Bucku" (it means "shy") or recent Tiger JK Love Peace and POV for instance :) -- there is a sort of "american idol" show named "Show me the money", it's on its 11th season, it's just rap and hip hop contest :) There are mmm counterparts/spin offs (?) like High School rapper (only for high schoolers) and Unpretty Rapstar (only for female rappers). About JHope solo, I love all of them, and depending on the mood you can go one way or the other, but I'd suggest Arson as it's as recent as it gets (and maybe you can dive into Hobipalooza concert - headliner, 100k audience, more than 1h stage) About RM solo, I'd suggest Voice and Awakening, as well as Do You. From his first Mixtape, although you'll love Monster and Throw Away (I think). Suga collab... That That XD Mmmmm I like Halsey's interlude and MAX Blueberry Eyes. As featured in other artists songs. But since they usually have a swap clause, many artists have collab'd with him: Dear My Friend is one of my favorite songs but it's his ^^
Love this song too, awesome beats, awesome rap top class. Others of Agust D songs are cool are, Give it to me, Tony Montana, Burn it, 28, Moonlight. All awesome songs too.😎💜👌
Its like this " A to the G to the U to the STD" which really is a play on his statement "tongue technology" aka he can rap super fast and its a play on the phrase "im sick" or cool, awesome, rad. Get what I mean? Its a lot of double meanings. Editing to add: std is a sexually transmitted disease. So he turns you on with his tongue technology. And you catch his sickness. Aka you become a fan. Hope that helps clarify.
Both of Suga’s mix tapes are FIRE. Also, Please check out “Mirror Mirror” by F-Hero and Millie (feat. Changbin from Stray Kids). I think you’d really love it.
Also notice how at the end he says he’s sorry their “rapper isn’t as good as me” so he complains disregards those who are calling themselves “rappers” and jumps straight to whoever those rappers would belong to (think companies and labels)
Suga one of the fastest rapper in SK, i believe he's in the top 10 fastest rapper, around 5th or 6th. But his style is way different, raw. His D2 album is crazy, the 'chill' tracks are so doooope! 💯
Thanks for reacting to this banger!! "AGUST" is pronounced like the month August, so like "August D" AGUST D = SUGA backwards with DT for "Daegu Town" which is his hometown he grew up in. Edit: when he says "because I'm from D" he is talking about Daegu! 💜💜💜

Finally!!! So glad you guys reacted to this, Yoongi(Suga) bias here... hope you'll react to FREEZE by Ez Mil next... or IDK by EZ Mil... he's a rapper too...
Watching this made me miss our Lil Meow Meow, Yoongi aka SUGA. So off to listen to his mixtapes in Spotify now. If you're gonna do a ft. for SUGA, i recommend Girl of My Dreams with JuiceWorld or Eternal Sunshine with Epik High. May not be your flavor but just for change of pace and a different sound, submitting Lee Sora's Song Request as well. Can't wait to see what you picked out for RM and J-Hope.
Thanks so much again for your reactions to BTS. Some info….If you listen to the Korean when the lyrics come up about turning you on with my tongue technology, you’ll hear the words ‘Hong Kong’. The saying ‘take you to Hong Kong’ is slang for giving someone an org*sm. So Agust D is saying my tongue technology will take you to Hong Kong, a double entendre on both his rapping skills & or*l s*x. Also Agust is pronounced like the month August.
There is so much good rap in SK, honestly. Dig further, guys. People will offer you suggestions. First of all, Suga has a continuation of this MV in the next one from the album, Give it To Me. It's very short but punchy 💜 Try Gottasadae/Challan/Sweet Home by Bewhy, Rosario by Epik High, U Mad by Bobby or The Purge by H1gher Music. 🔥
Please do not sleep on Rm first mixtape it often gets slept on because it was from like 2015 and his second very different Playlist Mono means so much to people but I love it.
the continuation of this song is AGUST D- "Give it to me" MV and also please react RM- "awakening" better for his for lyrics video since he doesn't have subtitle in that MV

Suga’s Interlude: Shadow at some point. It’s so freaking deep and the video is hypnotic in the best way! But the lyrics…wow 💜

But I appreciate You for putting this info here.
AGUST D (Suga's solo stage name) is made of SUGA (Backward) + DT (Backward)
♪ "DT" is the abbreviation of "Daegu Town".
Daegu is Suga's hometown and "DT" is the name of the underground rap group that Suga was a part of it before joining BTS 💜
This song is🔥🔥🔥
And, "First love" I was amazed at his talent . I get goosebumps no matter how many times I hear it.
This is one of my favorite song by Min Yoongi 🔥🔥
Agust just rhymes with August btw :) thanks guys this was fun
Would love for you to check out any of their mixtapes in their entirety too, album reactions are my favorite!
There is a live performance of Suga feat. Jimin (rapping) on Suga's song Tony Montana. Jungkook also used to rap a lot in BTS's early songs.
But I'm recommend listening to the live version that was performed several years ago. The original was with another singing featuring but for the live, he convinced Jimin to do it. Though there is now a very recent studio version out, I much prefer the raw grittiness of the live performance (Jimin's vocals), rather than the softer, studio, cleaned up version.
no he didn’t uso to rap A LOT, that’s a stretch.
I love people who venture a bit and say "oh, this is BTS?" "this are BTS members?" 7 complete artists
I see you in 2025 going to their first concert with army bombs :D
MV explanation
The fact that he's on a moving trailer I take it as he was tied up, he himself has to try to escape with no help, since the world ain't stopping just for him. When he's done untying himself, everything falls down around him and things don't remain static, he gotta find his balance (now with no restraints). PS. If you check Give it to me, it follows from this one and you see what happens with the trailer :)
idk if anyone said already but he says the line "I'm d boy bc I'm from the d" bc he's from Daegu (SK City)
I love your choices of songs. They should give them a try
Actually I'd like to add one more solo for RM. I really love his song called Love. So I think I'd say listen to Love instead of Bicycle.
Suga is fire. His rapping skills are on the top. React to Agust D give it to me
There's an agust d track that has an rm feature! It's called "Strange" (ft. RM)
Genius Suga🔥💜 Both RM and Suga have rhymed lyrics in Korean and English on the one song/rap 💜💜
This song is so wicked! Glad you guys got round to it! Do more of his tracks pleaaaase!
The city is Daegu, where he’s from. Fun fact: Suga is known for predicting. The Billboards, then number 1 on Hot 100, then Grammy
Agust'D 🔥 love you my suga hyung 💚
So Far Away
Intro: Shadow (go with the full length version not the MV, MV is only an argument between 2 sides of himself)
First Love
The Last
Agust D is basically DT ( Daegu town ) SUGA if you read it backwards
Please check out the under-rated follow up to this song - “Give It To Me”!!! It was even filmed using and continuing this same moving-trailer set story
And « First Love » from Suga ! Thank you for your reaction. Love from France 🌸
Stay healthy and safe-ARMY💜
(P.s. you should react to their story, it will give you an even better insight as to who they truly are and how hard they have worked to get to where they are now. Whether you make a video of it or decide to watch it off the camera, I hope you enjoy it)
ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/SrI4AvkABm4/v-deo.html
These were two pretty good videos on their story. Much love💜
People, the last, strange ft RM, so far away and moonlight are worth listening.
RM- intro persona
Jhope- MORE MV and lollapalooza performance on BTS's official yt channel
SUGA feature- that that MV please
would love for you to react to our suga’s full mixtapes - he has two as of now! we don’t mind longer videos and you’re both very insightful and going through one of his mixtapes in one sitting would be fun for you! i’d recommend his first mixtape (agust d) as a starting point as his second mixtape (d-2) shows a lot of growth in his mindset since his first.
that being said, thank you for checking him out, he’s truly an amazing artist and person 💜
You recognize James Brown's "It's a Man's World" beat in the beginning? That's hard.
The D in “Because I’m from the D” is for Daegu, his hometown
the STD is intentional wordplay - saying he'll infect his haters with his skills.
😮😮 I've never thought of it that way
@@jiminsluvalarm1871
"Send you to Hong Kong with my tongue technology"...
I love that you guys actually take the time to read the lyrics 💜
Smth that really frustrates me is when ppl react to bts just for the sale of gaining more views and they dont even try to read the lyrics or understand the meanings and just record the most basic reactions to just how they sound or how they look like thats not all bts is
and thats my Bias right there 🔥🔥 🔥
hahaha loved the reaction guys can’t wait to see more
I appreciate your opinion. I love his style. He’s rap is emotional with honest and raw lyrics!
I cant wait for his next album
My favorite Suga song is Interlude Shadow
Sameeee here!
Thank you for continuously dropping various names for me to be informed by. THIS IS (was) NOT mainstream in South Korea. Someone correct me if this isn’t true. They are hip hop but in kpop clothing. So nope, not mainstream in South Korea.
We've told you what Agust D stood for, multiple times haha
The fact that he's on a moving trailer I take it as he was tied up, he himself has to try to escape with no help, since the world ain't stopping just for him. When he's done untying himself, everything falls down around him and things don't remain static, he gotta find his balance (now with no restraints). He looks out of the window to check where he's at, his surroundings. Finally, he opens the door (metaphorically!) and sees the world not though the window, but at the same level. After that, he just goes up the stairs and sits down... on top of the world/industry :)
(O might be mistaken, but that's my interpretation of things).
PS. If you check Give it to me, it follows from this one and you see what happens with the trailer :)
Yoongi is 🔥 when he’s pissed off
Oh, I wouldn't say agust d is mainstream "rap". But he shuts pretty much everyone when he so decides :)
You have a whole rap industry, you can check Epik High (lesson zero is a must for mankind), YoungJi (she's adorable xD), Bewhy, Loco, CL...
About JHope solo, I love all of them, and depending on the mood you can go one way or the other, but I'd suggest Arson as it's as recent as it gets (and maybe you can dive into Hobipalooza concert - headliner, 100k audience, more than 1h stage)
About RM solo, I'd suggest Voice and Awakening, as well as Do You. From his first Mixtape, although you'll love Monster and Throw Away (I think).
Suga collab... That That XD Mmmmm I like Halsey's interlude and MAX Blueberry Eyes. As featured in other artists songs. But since they usually have a swap clause, many artists have collab'd with him: Dear My Friend is one of my favorite songs but it's his ^^
Still waiting for them to add this song to Apple Music😪 one of my favorite songs by Agust D.
Please do check out "The Last" it talks about his battle with mental health, and of course his latest album D-2 every song is a masterpiece 🤌🏼
Suga 💪🔥rap 👏🏻💜
AgustD is DT SUGA, Daegu Town Suga. It’s a nice nod at where he’s from.
Love this song too, awesome beats, awesome rap top class.
Others of Agust D songs are cool are,
Give it to me,
Tony Montana,
Burn it,
28,
Moonlight.
All awesome songs too.😎💜👌
This is Agust D the genius 🥵
"AGUST" is pronounced like the month August, so like "August D"
AGUST D = SUGA backwards with DT for "Daegu Town" which is his hometown he grew up in.
Edit: when he says "because I'm from D" he is talking about Daegu! 💜💜💜
yepp not Agoose lmaooo

The dude on the right is high. Love it lol
This song>>>
AGUST D BACKWARDS DT IS WHERE COME FROM DAEGU TOWN
u guy should cek their recent live performance in busan
Great reaction ! :D Remember to react to 'GIve it to me' by Agust D
Just letting you guys know he says "from the D" because he's from a city in South Korea called Daegu !!
Pronounced "Day-goo"
it's actually tongue technology
I’M STILL MAD THIS SONG ISN’T OFFICIALLY ON SPOTIFY
Thanks so much again for your reactions to BTS. Some info….If you listen to the Korean when the lyrics come up about turning you on with my tongue technology, you’ll hear the words ‘Hong Kong’. The saying ‘take you to Hong Kong’ is slang for giving someone an org*sm. So Agust D is saying my tongue technology will take you to Hong Kong, a double entendre on both his rapping skills & or*l s*x. Also Agust is pronounced like the month August.
Finally!!!!! August D!!!
Min Yoongi 🔥🔥🔥
There is so much good rap in SK, honestly. Dig further, guys. People will offer you suggestions. First of all, Suga has a continuation of this MV in the next one from the album, Give it To Me. It's very short but punchy 💜 Try Gottasadae/Challan/Sweet Home by Bewhy, Rosario by Epik High, U Mad by Bobby or The Purge by H1gher Music. 🔥
You can't miss their most recent performances for MIC DROP + RUN BTS -->ua-cam.com/video/10h_7BpL96o/v-deo.html
Please do not sleep on Rm first mixtape it often gets slept on because it was from like 2015 and his second very different Playlist Mono means so much to people but I love it.
El rey del rap 👑🔥🥵
Festa live 2021 please
Pinché cancion espectacular💜💜
the continuation of this song is AGUST D- "Give it to me" MV and also please react RM- "awakening" better for his for lyrics video since he doesn't have subtitle in that MV
