Forgot about NS leasing those F40s for the high speed intermodals. They didn’t last long and were sent packing.
Now thats something I never heard about when it comes to railfanning in Dayton Ohio
Those F40s might have indeed been leased by NS at time, not just in transit.
I think you are correct. I cross-checked the numbers, and I think most of the ones shown here were either scrapped or out of service.
