Adelphi University: Extraordinary Role Models

Meet Krista Aliscio ’23. Strong role models, smaller classes, world-class academics, higher graduating salaries and award-winning career guidance have helped to define what made Adelphi an extraordinary experience for this scholar-athlete.
Krista earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and minored in sociology at Adelphi University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school psychology. Her professors in the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology and her coach on the women’s soccer team are among the people enhancing her time at Adelphi and helping her build toward a successful career.
Krista was part of the Adelphi women's soccer team that finished in the national final four. They’re one of 22 Division II varsity sports at Adelphi that together have won 17 national NCAA titles. And at Derner, she’s part of the nation’s first university-based professional school of psychology, recognized today as global leaders, with programs that integrate research, theory and practice.
