The disc isn't just a serial number. It holds part of the game. Look at the size of a game digitally to download vs how much needs to be downloaded with the disc version ...if at all for some games

I've got the unlimited 5g from 3.. Bad days I get 400mbps, on good days I get up to 850mbps. It's good for £20 a month, but terribly inconsistent.

72 mbps download speed. That’s the best I can get in my town so the large storage space is needed for me otherwise it takes like half a day to download a big game. UK average speed is around this as well

I can't see Xbox ditching disc drives completely anytime soon, as a number of their backwards compatible titles are not available digitally, so require the physical disc to initiate the download.

They will absolutely not have a disc drive in the next generation. Their entire revenue model is focusing entirely on gamepass.

Personally, backwards compatibility is a big thing for me, so it would definitely effect my purchase decision.
I prefer older games, especially as the woke agenda seems to be seeping into modern gaming a lot more now too. 😕

The main reason you pay roughly the same in £ and $ is VAT, with our pricing, VAT is included in the price at 20%, in the US, sales tax isn’t included as it varies from state to state
Also got Gigabit internet so digital isn’t an issue

I buy on US Amazon site on Black Friday sale (so it does adjust for the $). I got an S series for £140 in 2022. I'm going to do the same for the new 2tb series X. I would guess around £400.
