Paul Max Yes, I was surprised too. He said in an interview he booked the territory. The big show at Aloha Stadium had Kevin and Maniac Mark Lewin against Andre The Giant and Angelo Mosca.
This would have been sometime during December of 1985. Bob Roop didn't pick up the Maha Singh gimmick until the fall of 1985 so this couldn't have been any earlier than that. I think it is December for a number of reasons. Sullivan and Roop were both back and forth between Florida and Hawaii during this period (Sullivan actually became the booker in Hawaii). 1985 is also when Ricky Johnson & Rocky Johnson were wrestling together as a tag team in Hawaii. Bad News Allen wrestled several matches against Lars Anderson in Hawaii during December 1985. They had a different match within this feud on December 19th, 1985 thus we can deduce that this event would have been sometime fairly close to that date. Allen Coage started wrestling as Bad News Allen after he worked with Bad News Leroy Brown in the Hollywood territory in 1979 (he picked up a lot from Bad News Leroy Brown). He continued to wrestle under the name Bad News Allen throughout his first run in the WWF in 1984. Allen Coage didn't switch to the name Bad News Brown until he returned to the WWF for his second run in 1988.
My dad introduced us to tv wrestling with these guys…. Rocky could really sell!!
Lars Anderson was ratings gold!

Nice ❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
Announcer pretended he didn't know that Maya Singh was really Bob Roop.
There is No Bob Roop!
Great tape.
LOL I love the referee completely no selling Sullivan's chops.
Looking back at this I am surprised Kevin Sullivan wrestled almost every week in Hawaii for about 2 months.
