WOW.! What a video! It is the absolute best I've watched. So informative, easy to understand, clear, you answer so many quotations anewbie has that others don't. Thank you so much. I now am subscribed so I can learn more from you. I have hope! LOL
What a great & well presented instructional video. I just bought a PR650 (older model I know) but allot of the features are similar and this video really helped me get to grips with the machine. Thanks
Dear sir, thank you for your very practical and informative video. I have just purchased this machine. You have made me happy in that I had made the right choice. Hope to hear more from you!! Morin
Thank you so much for this video, I recently purchased this model and you have covered a lot of the unknown. I appreciate you for your time and knowledge. Happy embroidering 🧵!
@katherine5587 The "F" Arm is available in a kit with the Magnetic Frame - either the 4" x 4" or the 5" x 7": www.echidnasewing.com.au/pr-magnetic-frame-4-x4-m-clamp-kit www.echidnasewing.com.au/pr-magnetic-frame-5-x7-l-clamp-kit
I'm thinking about getting one of these, but the price is a little high. I'm already in debt enough, but I really want to expand my embroidery capabilities. I already have a Brother PE800 and I love it.
This is the most informative video I've watched, and I think I've viewed all on YT and Brother USA. You invite viewers to submit questions... I have a healthy list of Qs. I'm new to this machine, love it so far, but there is a definite learning curve (for me). How could I submit Qs (briefly) to you/your team? Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge and educating me. All greatly appreciated.
Thanks Gary for all of your very informative videos. You are a great teacher. With you, I learn very quickly. I am French and I want to buy myself a 1055 X so all your advice is extremely valuable to me. Thank you for sharing your great experience. You are super nice. On the other hand I have a question: what is the difference for the placement between the standard frames, the magnetic ones, the set of 7 frames to avoid buying everything. Regarding the set of 7 frames, I saw that there were simply some in metal where you can put the self-adhesive stabilizer, but now there is also the set of 8 metal frames MAGNETS. Do you think they are better because they can be used by gluing the filmoplast and also by putting a non-sticky stabilizer under the magnet. Are they okay on the PR 1005?
do you have cheat sheet for assigning the set up of the Threads by number. I found it by accident, cant get back to it. New to the multi needle 6, and there book is not easy to follow. Not any you tube on this
This is found under Settings on your machine. If you aren't sure, give us a call (if you are in Australia) and we will be able to help you over the phone. Our number is 1800 000 360.
What do,you know about a “Playbook” for learning about this machine? I previously had a Personna so I know a lot, but want to learn about how to arrange colors for a design with over six colors.
Hi Joyce, we do have available a Playbook for the PR680 to purchase: www.echidnasewing.com.au/brother-playbook-for-pr680w This is a great instruction book for you to learn from.
Looks like the frames that you put the hoops on are the same as my brothers persona... so I suppose I could put those on and use my hoops I have for the persona.
No I have a persona... looks like the frame is the same as the pr680.. I'm thinking about buying one that the lady that services my machine knows.. Just thought if the frame would fit then of course I could use all the same magnetic hoops
Great Video, Thank you. `I have two questions please. I want to buy this machine to do hooded baby towels. Would it be possible to put designs on the hood of the towel without opening up the stitching? Secondly, how do you know where to place things so that the stiching would be in the middle of the hooded towel for example? Thank You!
Hi Abi, yes the pr680 has a free arm which makes it easy to embroider on the hood. You would have to find the centre of the area you are wanting to embroider, line up with the notches on the hoop or use the template plastic to line it up.
@rebedawolfe1715 Yes you can as Embrilliance is Embroidery Software that you can save the embroidery designs in most embroidery formats that are common.
I had a brother 6 needle and after 8 yrs sold it. I have a SWF 15 full size commercial machine. You a good teacher on these brother machines. Do you sell in the states?
Very informative, but mine keeps stopping and I can't find anything wrong with, Bob is good, line didn't break. It just says check upper and bobbin thread. Over and over😢
Do you have a video on how you would switch out a color in the middle of it working on a design. Say for example your design has 8 colors how would you do that
You can just change the thread colour manually but keep it the same colour on the screen. This would be the easiest way without reprogramming and then repositioning etc.
@jonniejoplin6226 Yes you can purchase fonts that can be used on your machine. You would need to purchase them separately or use software to get more options of fonts.
Do you know anything about an”Playbook” available for this machine and is it worth it? My dealer isn’t very good with instructing. I have had a Persona100 so know more about color assignment and how to maximize changes when there are, say 20 color changes I a design.
Hi Joyce, we do have available a Playbook for the PR680 to purchase: www.echidnasewing.com.au/brother-playbook-for-pr680w This is a great instruction book for you to learn from.
@@EchidnaClub Thank you. Is it special software to do that? And what type of file does the logo have to be to get digitized? (Sorry for the questions, I’m new to this.)
Yes you need digitizing software like Embrilliance Stitch Artist or Hatch. You can pay other people to do it for you and not buy the software. We have a section on our website of people who digitize. www.echidnasewing.com.au/page/buying-from-us/embroidery-services/

Hello, I just purchased the PR680W and would like to ask about the quilt behind Garry and where can I buy the pattern please
@nicholamarron2747 You will love your new machine, so easy to use! The quilt is called "The Secret Garden" and is a beautiful applique quilt.
Best video so far, and I’ve watched a lot! Thank you!

It is a great machine and maybe one day?! :)
Looks like the frames that you put the hoops on are the same as my brothers persona... so I suppose I could put those on and use my hoops I have for the persona.
@vickeydavenport1288 It will depend on the frame as to whether it will fit the Persona. Best to check its compatibility before use.
No I have a persona... looks like the frame is the same as the pr680.. I'm thinking about buying one that the lady that services my machine knows.. Just thought if the frame would fit then of course I could use all the same magnetic hoops
Yes some frames fit the PR680 and the PRS100 but not all them - We do list the compatibility on the PR and PRS Frames on the listings.

Very informative, but mine keeps stopping and I can't find anything wrong with, Bob is good, line didn't break. It just says check upper and bobbin thread. Over and over😢
Hi there, this sounds like it could be a threading issue. Have you checked the top thread path, making sure you have completed all the steps?
@EchidnaClub it turns out, I wasn't pushing in the bob all the way. Eventually found out it has to snap in place. Thanks for the reply!
Awesome! Great you got it sorted!
I have that same problem... i have checked the thread path, and also checked that the bob snaps when i place it. Can you guys help me please ? 🙁🙏🏼

How do you change thread colour by tying a knot. I have tremor in hands. Any suggestions?
The only other way is to rethread totally unless you have someone to assist you?
Can you purchase brother funky fonts thats on brothers prs 1 embroidery machine on this machine
@jonniejoplin6226 Yes you can purchase fonts that can be used on your machine. You would need to purchase them separately or use software to get more options of fonts.
Hugely helpful, thank you!

You are so welcome!
Thanks Gary very useful video. But if you explain the wifi features using My Stitch Monitor App more it'll be more helpful. ❤️
Thank you Syed for your feedback :)
Any idea where a person could purchase a cover for it?
Unfortunately we do not have any one that we know of. Most people cover there machines with a blanket or sheet to keep the dust off.
Your videos are awesome
Glad you like them!
How often do you oil the hook? Each time you rehoop or like 1x a day?
Yes at least once a day. Depends on how much embroidery you do in a day.
@@EchidnaClub ok I am just learning this machine so it was new to oil. I was using a single needle before this. Thank you so much.
Great Video! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
With the PR680W, can I use companies logos to embroider?
Yes you can but they need to be digitized first and converted into a .PES or .DST file for use on your machine.
@@EchidnaClub Thank you. Is it special software to do that? And what type of file does the logo have to be to get digitized? (Sorry for the questions, I’m new to this.)

In some countries the Bobbin Winder does not come standard with the machine. In Australia it is included.
