I’ve had my 6 needle for 15 years and still learned a tip on threading. I didn’t realize looping thread to get it to go into the wire needle thingy by making a loop. For goodness sakes all these years I’ve been trying to “threads it like a needle”. Lololol. Also didn’t realize you’re suppose to tug thread around that extra leg thingy for the auto threader. I didn’t know I could use a usb cord to connect computer and machine. Just goes to show you, no mater how many years you’ve done embroidery, ya always learn something!!
I appreciate your videos. I have old machines and have recently updated to more. It is nice to have newer ones. It is a job to learn so much but I love it.
I am honestly surprised people would use the "tie-off" method on this! I would be worried about the knot messing up the tension. I have the PR1055X and the threading is the same as this one - it has never bothered me!
Thank you for this helpful video! I just purchased this machine and I do have a few questions: How do you set your thread colors up in the machine to designated spool and needle?? When I attempt to set them up, my machine will not save the thread color to the spool/needle location😒 Do you have to have the brother software to be able to transfer designs wirelessly? I apologize for the questions but I have had no luck with the instructions in my brother guide and the videos I’ve found indicate that my two questions are easily resolved, while I’ve had no luck whatsoever.
Hi Courtney, I am researching the possibility of using a multi needle for embroidering on rope bowls. Would the Brother PR680W be able to do that? I currently do it on my flatbed by floating it in the hoop with some spray glue.
Need help. My magnectic hoop does not fit. I put it where the frame mounting place of the carriage and the holes o ly fit one side. Help, help. What am I doing wrong. Have gone to UA-cam and I have followed all the instructions but doesn't work
I just bought my machine and am having nothing but issues. I set the colors in the settings, but when I load the design, the colors don't stitch from the corresponding needle. Can you help with this issue?
I just purchased this machine. I was using a Janome MB4S. So I am having to relearn everything. Do you have any video's showing how to applique for a beginner? I am trying to applique a simple 3 letter DCA with heat transfer vinyl. I am using Brother PES lettering software. I cannot figure out how to assign needle, and insert stops. Thank You
Would love more of these videos for brother 6 needle!
More to come! - Courtney

Hi Courtney. I love your Afterhours shows. Would it be possible if you could do a show or two on Digitizing, please? Thanks so much!

I'm sorry to hear that! The easiest way to change colors is through the "Magic Wand" option. ua-cam.com/video/EJR4wnDN9MU/v-deo.html
