      It's because they were close to true. On sonys side they wanted garfield to come out in mcu to avoid having to re introduce a character. It was kevin feige who made the call to reboot spiderman again.
      Which I mean. Spiderman is popular enough to get away with it. It clearly didn't make much of a difference. Only thing that sucked was andrew garfield getting royally screwed over.

    Who else remembers when right before AOU (Age of Ultron) came out, there was a supposed “leaked” post credit scene of Spidey on the side of a building talking to some maintenance guy 😂😂😂 I remember it was the talk of the town, and everyone kept trying to say it was real until someone came out and admitted it was a hoax. It was such a wild rumor that someone straight up asked Joss Whedon during a fan panel 😂😂😂

    Yes you could easily have written it saying that Peter Parker afraid of his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson dying like Gwen did retires as not he does wanting to put her in danger.
    After Stark visits Peter and Mary Jane pulls him a side and we can recreate the scene where MJ tell Peter she has always know he’s spider-Man that he should help Tony.

    I'm sure Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man would've quickly proven to be a worthy asset to the MCU if given the right treatment. It'd have to be completely different from the direction Tom Holland's Spider-Man went, but if done correctly, TASM's version of Peter Parker would've fit right into the MCU.

    I think that it probably would’ve been a cool idea cause it would give us a difference narrative for Andrew’s Peter in the big team up films like Civil Way,Infinity War and Endgame,and they could’ve retconned the tasm films in some way or another,but it’s difficult to say on whether Kevin would want Garfield’ Peter to co-exist with the MCU, given the bad reputation with Sony and Tasm 2

  • @radrno7

    Well for starters, 'TASM3' would actually be a thing, but a very different story. Supposing they followed the same plot, we'd see Andrew Peter become a more of an Iron Man version of Spider-Man.
    Along with Spidey, there would be Sony's cinematic universe, so we would see Venom, Morbius, Madame Web, Kraven, etc. tied into the MCU. Since Sony owns the rights, Disney wouldn't have any say on those other than the fact that it's all connected together. It's a baggage that would come one way or another.
    It would be interesting to see Andrew Peter get dusted after his trilogy was done, leaving the mystery rather he'd actually be back or not, but we all know he'd be right back a year later. He'd have his own Iron Spider suit and get exposed by Mysterio in 'TASM4'. Maybe Tobey Peter and his villains would be brought back in 'TASM5' and the biggest departure would be that 'TASM6' would probably be his last movie, leaving the next trilogy for Miles to take over.
    I'd say it would be interesting how the Sony movies would work to tie it all up together. I also think it could be very cool to see Andrew/Tobey in a new/old dynamic.

    As much as I love Tom’s Peter, I do still kinda wish they could’ve had Andrew be the MCU Spider-Man as long as they could make not only retconning him and his movies into the MCU work but also where he would go in the future (meaning not whatever the heck Sony had thought of like with that whole thing of the Sinister Six laughing at his black suit when he comes to them for help with something and he cries and takes it off like seriously who the frick thought of that and how did they think that was a good idea). I hope that would’ve meant more interactions between Spidey and Cap to see the amount of respect the two have for the other which would probably mean Peter would be on Team Cap in Civil War since Andrew himself said his Spidey wouldn’t get along with Iron Man so I doubt he would’ve been on Team Iron Man, at best it would’ve been a more comic accurate thing where he initially is on Tony’s team somehow only to switch sides but I think they only could’ve done that from one battle between the teams like how they did with Black Widow which could’ve even caused some conflict between Peter and Tony in Infinity War that they would have to settle if Peter would still go to Titan. And unless they would’ve stuck with what they did with Tom’s Peter for shock value, maybe he could’ve even survived the Snap and been in all of Endgame, helping out in the time heist (off the top of my head, I’m thinking maybe he could’ve gone with Thor and Rocket to Asgard, 2012 New York probably would’ve been the easy choice since that’s a place he’s used to even if that meant more interactions between him, Cap, and Iron Man, and ones with Hulk and Ant Man, Vormir needed to stay between Natasha and Clint, and Moragg was too uneventful (yes, Thanos got to Nebula but I’m talking stuff they would’ve had Peter, Rhodey, and Nebula actually deal with and not something that happens to Nebula after the other two would’ve already left), Asgard could’ve let him have some fun interactions between Thor and Rocket, funny reactions from him just being in Asgard, and maybe have a nice moment for Peter where he tries to help Thor with his depression from the people he’s lost since he knows that pain and would probably be able to help him with that better than Rocket did)

    Uninfornately it was really understandable why they didn't bring in the TASM movies
    Numerous reason
    1.TASM Peter would not be on Team Stark he would be in Team Steve
    2.Continiuty issues with Oscorp,Lizard trying to infect the city would have been indefinitely considered a Avengers level threat
    3.Andrew was fired by Sony because he was sick and didn't come to a press tour
    4.TASM were not received well by fans and critics a like and I bet Marvel didn't want to stain the MCU name since it was pretty popular by that point
    5.Fresh Young actor means a lot more story potential and it can mended into the MCU pretty seamlessly

    Had Sony played ball with Marvel sooner, it probably could have worked and TASM2 may have been more coherent. I even considered them unofficial MCU films before the Sony hack showed how troubled things were behind the scenes. But I understand Marvel starting from scratch after how things did turn out for the film. Plus, we wouldn't have gotten the 3 Spidey team-up in NWH. It all turned out for the best.
    However, the Lizard and Electro events could have still happened as they did in the MCU. It's the same argument the other solo MCU movies have had about "why didn't the Avengers show up?" Much like the comics, some heroes won't have back-up. Besides that, Peter may not have gotten powers until after the Chitauri invaded and Tony, Thor, and Steve were all doing their own thing so Stark Tower as an Avengers headquarters wasn't firmly established yet.

    Sorry, but this video isn't actually that well thought out.
    1. "Why wasn't Spider-man there in the Avengers?"
    That movie came out before TASM, so that's simple, he hadn't been bitten yet. Not to mention the cranes in TASM could be explained by them cleaning up the aftermath of the Avengers (before Homecoming established Damage Control).
    2. "Why weren't the Avengers there in the TASM movies?"
    At that point in time, the team would have been split up and none of them actually fully operate in manhattan. Not to mention, the MCU does this all the time, but nobody complains about those.
    3. "The stories they told wouldn't fit Andrew's version"
    Well obviously it just would have been told differently or have a completely new story.

    • @LewisFilmsProductions
      @LewisFilmsProductions  Місяць тому +1

      Your first point I can agree with, that’s fair enough. Your second point I still disagree. Split up or not, the Avengers would’ve 100% had something to say about the Lizard trying to turn everyone into giant Lizards.
      In terms of your third point. Including Spider-Man into the MCU was a VERY last minute decision. They wouldn’t have had the time nor resources to work the Civil War story around Andrews version of the character since he wouldve likely signed with Cap. (Also if we’re assuming they hadn’t had met yet) you would’ve had to have introduced Spider-Man into the MCU and Caps team during the middle of the film which would’ve undercut alot of the important story beats.

      @LewisFilmsProductions  Місяць тому +1

      There would’ve been different stories, but Andrews story coming off the back of TASM 2 wouldn’t have fit with what they needed Spider-Man to be in Civil War. We have to remember Spider-Man in Civil War was a very last minute decision, but if Andrew was the Spider-Man of the MCU, his role would’ve been a lot bigger than Toms purely due to the baggage he carried from the first two TASM films. Therefore it wouldn’t have made much sense if he sided with Tony, but would’ve been too complex to include him in the film if he sided with Cap. Hopefully that clears up my point a bit more 💪

    • @Comics_Central
      @Comics_Central Місяць тому

      @@LewisFilmsProductions For sure, I totally see what you’re getting at now. I always thought that they could’ve got around that issue by having Peter’s Role be small but impactful. I think Peter could’ve sided with Tony after Tony giving Peter only one side of the story. The idea I had was Tony tells Peter that team cap is outside the law but Peter initially turns down going with him. If this is a conversation that happens in Peter’s home like the original Tony could reference a picture of Gwen and ask Peter “What would she think”. That convinces Peter to help Ironman and also ties TASM 2 into the MCU by showing the Avengers are at least aware of what happened. In the actual battle itself I would’ve given Black Widows spot of switching sides to Spider-Man once he realized this fight isn’t really helping anyone. That’s how I think you can have a far bigger impact with the same amount of screen time as the original. Either way, love the channel. Keep up the great work brother 💪

      @@LewisFilmsProductions I was quoting (I think?) Luke Skywalker, but no the opinions you stated weren't wrong. I was talking about the time frame and how Andrew's Spidey universe could've fit into the MCU. Lemme nerd out for a second here.
      Avengers 2012 was released in May while TASM1 was released in July. TASM takes place during the school year so let's just assume it's that fall, so Peter wouldn't have been Spider-Man until after the events of Avengers (you were right about oscorp tower almost being in Avengers, but I think they didn't have the design 100% finalized in time that Avengers would've been distributed). In regards to the Lizard rampaging, Tony mightve just been in Malibu building all the suits for Iron Man 3, and Cap in DC for winter soldier movie. It was also just one night, not a known consistent thing they were all aware of.
      In 2014 Winter Soldier released in April, showing both Cap and Natasha in DC, having dismantled SHIELD and dealing with all the legal stuff for that (I believe Cap is searching for Bucky at the end of that movie). Iron Man had also just destroyed his suits from Iron Man 3 but he also literally couldve been doing anything else since Stark tower runs on arc reactor tech and Peter got to electro and fought him for maybe half an hour in TASM2 (which released in May, immediately following the SHIELD breach). Seems like an isolated thing for Spidey to deal with.
      Civil war takes place 2 years after TASM2, unless you count the montage of Peter going to Gwen's grave for probably 8-12 months, but he would've been back to being Spider-Man by the time Civil War rolls around.
      I agree with you that Andrew's Peter wouldn't have sided with Tony, and I genuinely think most people would've preferred that (definitely would've helped with the Iron Boy Jr argument).. but Andrew's Peter definitely could've fit into MCU in my eyes.

      @@itsalexpierce That's fair enough and you make some valid points. They could've sort of worked around it, the only one's that I don't buy is that the Avengers would've avoided taking action against Lizard and Electro. That just doesn't make sense to me.

      @@LewisFilmsProductions eh, the way I see it, the Lizard was one night climbing up Oscorp Tower in either fall of 2012 or Spring 2013. I can see them missing that since it's mostly brief.
      Same with Electro, especially given all the other stuff the power outage caused for the city and how Electro technically grabbed Spidey's attention in the city after the power plant went down and had Spidey eventually chase him to the power plant.
      It's not 100% but I could still buy it.
