The Eric DIY family is getting ready for Summer at the beach. We were looking for a beach tent due to Madelyn only being a couple of months old. We found the Easthills Outdoors Instant Shade Easy Setup XL Beach Tent. It is easy to setup and take down, good in windy conditions (as you can see in the video), has UPF 50+ protection that blocks 97.5% of UV rays, and comes with many features and ways of anchoring it down on the beach. It can also be used for camping as a separate changing tent with the ability to zipper up the front porch of the beach tent. It is an excellent tent and I will do a mini review of it being used at the beach when we use it this Spring/Summer.

I have just taken delivery of this beach tent after trying to purchase an XL since August 2020. I only came across this excellent video after I had my practice runs in my garden and as demonstrated really is very easy to put up and take down, the carry bag is very generous in size and facilitates packing easily, unlike most carry bags. The bottom of the carry bag has extra padding, so best to put the operating draw-cord end in first. Whilst we have had great weather here in the UK this week I just hope it continues for my journey soon up to Fort William, Scotland. Thank you.

I hope you get this and reply .... Thanks for the review ... QUESTION: I want to buy one but I see the window covers are on the inside which leads me to believe you can get water running in the tent at the windows ... Do those window covers keep the water out when it rains?

It does mostly. This is not a full out tent

For the porch zipper. Is there only one or two sliders? I'd want to have it zip up half way on each side to create a knee wall. I plan on bringing this to my sons baseball game and during the colder games use with a heater inside. The knee wall would help keep the heat inside
