I'm 51 and a Beasties fan since the beginning with their first Cookie Puss release (I grew up right across the river from them in NJ) and I have been absolutely delighted and entertained by all the reaction videos that came out with the Beasties. I really love your thoughtful and intelligent opinion on what you're hearing from them. The younger generations don't realize how incredibly important the Beastie Boys are to the evolution of Hip Hop.
Their final album Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2 has no samples, and its just their jam sessions cut up as the background music which they rap over. They are in their own class of greatness. Starting from the beginning of their career as a hardcore punk group to topping the Billboard charts and having the first #1 Rap album with Licensed to Ill, and then following it up with the greatest album of all time Paul's Boutique which inspired Beck, DJ Shadow, Girl Talk and countless other artists of other genres, its still ahead of its time to this day.....you gotta check out Rhymin & Stealin, High Plains Drifter, Looking Down The Barrel of a Gun, Shadrach, B-Boy Bouillabaise, Jimmy James, Pass the Mic, Gratitude, Professor Booty, Sure Shot, Root Down, Futterman's Rule, Something's Got To Give, Transitions, Super Disco Breakin....
Mike D plays the drums, MCA plays bass and stand-up bass, AD-Rock plays the lead guitar.. Plus you got Money Mark on the keys. The Roots are the only other hip-hop act that makes their own beats, that I can think of off the top of my head...
I just found your channel. The Beastie Boys and Naz drew me in. Great reaction. I’m not sure how many Beastie Boys songs you’ve reacted to but they’ve got a lot of good ones.
They are also in the Hip Hop HOF ... The ONLY act to be honored in both - Hip Hop HOF honorees, in order : 1 Grandmaster Flash Furious 5 2 Run DMC 3 Beastie Boys
Another great Beastie Boys reaction thanks. A few albums before this they do a song with Qtip called "Get it Together" you might want to check that out. Keep sending up Beasties reactions. Thanks
Chod, wondering why you have never done 38 Special. One of the top southern rock bands of the "80's, They also had TWO drummers playing together. Very cool!
Laura Nyro. Laura Nyro (Pronounced Nero) w/Duane 'Skydog' Allman Beads of Sweat LINK. You haven't listened to her before, but feel totally confident she will be one of your new favorite female singer.. she walked away from the Music scene at 24. Although she did come back sporadically. She wrote hits for Three Dog Night, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand. She heavily influenced many musicians. Elton John, Alice Cooper, Todd Rundgren. You won't be disappointed.... Link ua-cam.com/video/XXhDLmoL0ys/v-deo.html

This show ended up being their last. So sad. RIP MCA. All time legends
They're in the rock and roll hall of fame. They alternate - some songs have real instruments and some don't.

Glad someone has requested her. I know of her, but I don't know her music and would like to.
Check out Root Down, High Plains Drifter...
Their videos were hilarious!!
I have that same "Joy and Pain" 12".
Ya look a little like Slick Rick before he got his left eye popped. Before he was Rick the Ruler.
😊👍
Nas just released another album
RIP MCA.
