      @@homura_8Honestly. One side thinks okay to watch a player get physically beat on every time she gets on the court and call getting hit in the head “defense”. The other side glaze her so much you would she was shooting and making full court shots likes she is an anime protagonist but in reality she ain’t that much entertaining than most WNBA players. Objectively there are players even more exciting to watch than her they just don’t get no attention for what ever marketing reasons and don’t have a loyal fan base like her for whatever reason.

    17 5 5 is one of the greatest wnba rookie seasons of all time.. for instance Candace won mvp averaging 18 10 3 which is regarded as probably the greatest wnba rookie season of all time.. Id say top 5 no lower than top 10

    • @mr.tyrone254
      @mr.tyrone254 3 місяці тому +1

      You seem to be neglecting the fact that Candace Parker did that with better efficiency and also had over 2 blocks and a steal.
      Caitlin is having a great season but those assists come with 5.5 turnovers a game still a solid rookie season but it doesn't come close to what Candace did especially since she did it in less usage too.
      Of course it's only half a season and I think she will improve a lot but I don't think it will compare to the best rookie seasons in wnba history but who knows she might go crazy.

      The problem that a lot of ppl have with CC is she’s getting all the Lebron level hype without any of the Lebron level criticisms. Half of her fan base are full of ppl who were calling her a one of the best prospects in WNBA history and a future WNBA Goat before she even stepped foot into the league (Lebron level hype) but anytime she fails or doesn’t perform up to standards the excuse is “she’s just a rookie, she’s still figuring the game out” as if it’s unfair to criticize anything she does or doesn’t do.
      Lebron in his rookie year ranked top 3% of the league in PPG, top 3% in APG, and top 19% RPG. Not only that but he also ranked top 27% in offensive efficiency. Mind u, he was only 18 years old with no college development whatsoever.
      Comparatively, Caitlin is top 13% in PPG, top 3% in APG, and top 16% in RP. All good however, she ranks bottom 40% in offensive efficiency.
      Here’s the main difference, She’s 22 years old where Lebron was 18, she’s had 4 years of college training and development where he literally had none. Is she good? Yes. But is she Lebron level? No. So stop treating her like she is or at least give her a fair share of criticism when she fucks up.

      @@mr.tyrone254 CC also has more attention on her team than candace and candace had more minutes and shot attempts but that’s besides the point. I didn’t ever say CC had a better season then candace. The rest is just an ill informed take. If you compare her to Diana Taurasi that won all wnba first team in her rookie year. Caitlin washes her stat wise. I can care less about turnovers, I value a magic johnson and isiah thomas play making style over a chris pauls any day. Caitlin makes plays for her team that and already the better playmaker than taurasi was. She’s currently in the playoff contention as well after tonight’s win. Caitlin is reaching expectations of informed wnba fans. It’s the people who compare stats to the men’s game that think she’s struggling

      @@adh2298 dude why are you comparing her to lebron? You say Caitlin doesn’t get criticism then pull a stunt like this?! 😂😂.. They say CC has a similar story (WHICH LEBRON PUBLICLY APPLAUDED HER FOR HANDLING) because no one in the WNBA has had this much controversy and attention around them.

    Someone mentioned it but i don’t think people knew that the US coach held a camp in early April for prospects n clark was in the final four at the time, so the committee were only able to judge her off the first few league games.

      Wemby was one of the best prospects ever, did he come in day one and start playing like one of the best players in the league? Or is it taking some time because he’s a rookie and is figuring stuff out? It takes time.

      @@limitedbom2206 What are u talking about? Yes he did 😂 He came in averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds a game just in his first 5 games alone. Hell by game 5 he damn near had a 40 point double double on KD. 😂
      Then by the end of the season he had literally one of the best defensive seasons in NBA history, was named 1st team All Rookie and ROY, and was named 1st team all defense, and came in 2nd place in defensive player of the year, all in his rookie season. That sounds like domination to me. So what were u saying? 😂

      @@aceacemania I think I might’ve typed out some of my thoughts wrong, my bad. Caitlin Clark in her years of being in college did not try out for the Olympic team so her being on the team would’ve been on popularity and that’s not a good measure of “earning” a spot on the roster.
