Tribal stage is actually pretty easy but not too much for it to be boring and there's always a bunch to do, city stage has all the cool vehicle and city creation, and most of all you can use that one super ability to pacify everyone in the planet, and the space stage is just space stage. It was really just aquired taste.

Jerma has a bad habit of blaming his ineptitude on "you all did the exact same thing." Spore Civ stage is a slog but it's the easiest part of the game. You just throw down a shitload of turrets and make tons of vehicles and the AI can't deal with it.
