A lot of these games may be pretty shitty but they're also interpretations and expressions of genres that combine newer perspectives on controls and mechanics with some older game design principles. i miss the creativity of mid level projects from this period. basically only indie devs are doing this anymore, and it's kind of a shame; these old and junky games can somehow end up as the most entertaining things you've ever played
