I'm trying to learn to fix my own car. I have a 2010 V6 Mustang 🐎 and it's been giving me a hard time lately. I got it from a crappy dealership I wish I didn't. I do love my car and would do what I can to fix it. Without going to the shop or if I have too. I Have others too. That helps me a lot. I want to learn how to do this too and save money. I'm having a leak issue right now and I can smell it. Even though I replaced the water pump.

I wonder if you can put a breaker bar with a socket on instead of hitting the wrench?! Or use a deadblow not a hammer( if you have nice wrenches)

Yes you can, my wrench is a cheap one I use only for this, and he's still alive 😄.

I was struggling so hard with those pistons, they were extremely tough it took me and a friend like 20mins each side

FAB-B I put a good amount of pressure on it and it still wouldn't turn well, was just a pain

You can really just spray paint the calipers?

Highly recommend heat resistant paint such as engine enamel paint or caliper paint. Anything high heat will work!

Your embedding advice is terrible. You need to embed them properly. Also didn't see you tourque the bolts to the right amount. Also very important.

For every day road use, it will do just fine. Never had problems bedding in my breaks this way... You're right about tightening to the right tork, but most people aren't equiped, and with that as well I've never had issues.
