This is one of the best, exciting, erotic, driving rock & roll songs I've ever heard and the guitar riffs are absolutely adrenalin pumping! I can't say enough about Bob's voice!
One of his best songs ever!! Hard to believe anybody doesn't like it. They just don't know good music when they hear it. We should be so lucky as to have decent music today.
You can't deny that Bob never left anything on the table....he poured every ounce of himself into his songs. This one has always been my favorite. Next up, Ramblin' Gamblin Man, Come to Papa Badass fn songs
Bob S did probably the best job of all the rock musicians relating those seminal moments of youth. First girlfriends, strippers, and more strippers. I love it!
Hello @lisadiulio3753! How're you doing? Your comments caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you! It's nice meeting you here.
This song actually creates atmosphere and a temporal bubble where everything is permanently fascinating. Nothing else quite like it; it stands alone. Such a great performance here too
I'm 55 and I seen him when I was 16 I fell in love with him back than and I still love him today. Thanks for all the great music and great times. God bless you Bob Seger. Your fan for live.
This has to be my absolute favorite; I could listen to it repeatedly, and never get tired. He's not degrading women; more or less, just appreciating their ability to excite a man, just by her 'strut'.
Bob Seger performed live several times in the 1980's at Poplar Creek Music Theatre (now defunct) in Hoffman Estates, IL, a NW suburb of Chicago. I saw every one of his performances there. The bass and the drums still pound in my veins in 2009. Definitely one of the greatest rockers EVER!
I really dig "Maracca Man!!" One set isn't good enough.....he has to have FIVE!! That takes REAL musical talent!😆 And he gets into it just as much as Seger is.
I never knew how deep it went throwing off those chords to anybody else but me, but watching Bob Seger on guitar live here shows the emotion he feels playing the music he wrote. 'Her Strut' is intense music writing and music playing--I have no doubt now.
Wow! I was at this concert, but I wasn't supposed to be. My older brother snuck me out! I was too young. I saw so many good live shows at the Cap Centre! Oh, to have those days back!
+myloridarlin ~I dream of a time machine often, but we can't have those days back. However we can hold on to those wonderful memories. On the other hand, it's spring 2016 and Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band is back on tour.
Bob Seger puts on one of the best concerts I have ever seen in my lifetime. He is great and comes on for more encores than any other. Maybe he just liked Birmingham though. :D
It was a long time ago but I remember reading an interview with Seger where he said this song came about after he watched Jane Fonda walk in for a senate hearing. As she passed all the senators who were demonizing her at that time, he saw their heads turn and watch her 'strut' equipment
We ALL make mistakes when we are younger. It’s part of this thing called Life. Overall, I believe Jane brought attention to the War, ultimately ending after too many lives were lost and men and women were sent home half of what they were emotionally and the open arms of America were missing in action, just like a number of his band mates…
pure Rock n Roll! they just don't make em like this anymore. Bob Seger has one HELL of a set of chords on him. one of a kind voice right there! hope to see him do at least one last tour i wouldn't miss it for the world!
My favorite Seeger tune! Saw the reunion show in the early 90s. It ROCKED! Even silver haired his voice was still awesome. Still did those full on mountain lion sounding screams! ...especially evident in this song! Thanks for sharing brother, killer clip from an all time rocker for the ages!
@@melissadavis225 I hope you got to see him in concert, he is great, I also love Eddie Money , and Fleetwood Mac, I believe Eddie Money runs neck and neck w/ Seger as far as talent and a great band, also Steve Miller Band, and of course, my beloved Ronnie VanZant of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The line up I live and die for...
Thanks for the great video! I loved watching Bob Seger do some mighty find "struttin'" of his own, playin' that guitar!! Fun, fun to watch....and this was and still is a favorite song of mine. I think I must have played this cassette tape so much, that it wore out! Great, great song!!
silver bullet was by far best ov all rock band in world all songs were altimite rock so many talented players never a dull moment never be anoter like silver bullet in prime i used to listen over and over wene i was young excitment was electrofying and live 10000%
OH MY GAWD! HUGE Huge Seger fan since 1977 and just saw this clip for the for the first time! Only one thing on God's green earth hotter than watching Bob Seger run his fingers through his hair: Alto Reed poured into skin tight leather, pumping those large, round . . . ahem . . . maracas!
omg... brought back a memory of a pub I used to frequent and they would play this whenever I walked in. To this day I adamantly deny that I EVER strutted! LOL
He wrote this song as a tribute to Jane Fonda. He always admired her for being so independent and speaking her mind no matter what the consequences may be.
+brainfart101 ~I saw Bob Seger in 1975 in Seattle. Great concert! Remember, there's still plenty of time to get Bob on HD. He's touring this summer! (2016)
The maraca dude is pretty funny. He could have probably stuffed a few more into that 'do of his. But seriously, this tune kicks butt! The other older Seger videos from this concert are just as good. Thanks tangent 5000.
Her Strut was on Against the Wind. Nine Tonight was recorded mostly at Boston Garden. This was from the Largo, Maryland show, the only one that was filmed. I was in the opening act for most of this tour, Sept. to Nov. 1980. Seems like yesterday.
Phenomenal rock song by Seger : the best rock singers touch their hair, Bob Seger does this, Stevie Nicks does this, and so does Eddie Money! This is the most bad-a$$ed song ever by Seger!! Shake those marakas !
This is one of the best, exciting, erotic, driving rock & roll songs I've ever heard and the guitar riffs are absolutely adrenalin pumping! I can't say enough about Bob's voice!
one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
One of the few times you get to see Bob Seger play lead guitar.
That man could play anything well.
One of his best songs ever!! Hard to believe anybody doesn't like it. They just don't know good music when they hear it. We should be so lucky as to have decent music today.
Thank you for liking my aspirations and being one of my biggest fan, hope you don’t stop someday?

he is good at playing live, it sounds just like the recording. most artists cant ever play it the same way twice.
Bob S did probably the best job of all the rock musicians relating those seminal moments of youth. First girlfriends, strippers, and more strippers. I love it!
GREAT SONG!!! Been listening since I was a teen, I'm 61 now! He never gets old or sounds old! Songs are timeless so is Bob!!
Hello @lisadiulio3753!

Still lovin the struttin!!
Atlanta many years ago!!
Awesome!!
Just give Bob Seeger a guitar and enjoy. This man knows what he is doing. Pure fine quality
Seger is the man!!!! He doesn't get the respect he deserves!!! He's up there with the likes of the Beatles, Stones and Led Zep.
Bob is THE MAN.
That voice..... love Bob Segar.....
agreed; don't know what it is, but he has the sexiest, roughest, most masculine voice; makes me glad I'm a woman to appreciate
This song actually creates atmosphere and a temporal bubble where everything is permanently fascinating. Nothing else quite like it; it stands alone. Such a great performance here too
5 STARs to ANYTHING Bob ever sang! Great song.
Awesome! Guitar playing, singing, performing. Totally awesome
Still love this performance and him!
I'm 55 and I seen him when I was 16 I fell in love with him back than and I still love him today. Thanks for all the great music and great times. God bless you Bob Seger. Your fan for live.
+Dana Sadlik ~Yep, the woman adore Mr Bob Seger. (Lucky Bob)
Almost 63 and he is the hottest ever. Seen him twice live!
WHAT A GREAT LIVE RECORDING...BOB IS THE GOAT
I really appreciate your love and support towards my aspirations, how long have you been my fan?
When I heard this in 1980 I was blown away by it.
Great tune.
Identical to the record! Dam he can perform

I've been listening to him since the 70s. Those were the days for ROCK
i will'4ever remember this song sung of a man who adores women Thanx
+deborah easler ~and the women seem to adore Bob. It's a wonderful world!
Sooo sexy, and yes you can tell that he loves women. Those of us blessed to be raised in the 70's love him

That dude with the shakers is Alto Reed, and he truly does kick ass. Great sax player.
Wow. Still amazing even after all these years. Just saw him in August and he's still got it. Still puts on a Hell of a show.
Saw this band in Milwaukee during the early 2000s. He kicked out so much energy....Amazing performer As cold as they come.
Pretty damn cool that Bob Seger himself plays that echoed out lead guitar in that middle breakdown!! A great singer & guitarist -wow!
Bob Rocks. Good Lord.
I really dig "Maracca Man!!" One set isn't good enough.....he has to have FIVE!! That takes REAL musical talent!😆 And he gets into it just as much as Seger is.
😂👍
I saw him as an opening act in 75 and again as a headliner in1980. This looks like it came from the 80s show I saw outside of Wash DC.
I never knew how deep it went throwing off those chords to anybody else but me, but watching Bob Seger on guitar live here shows the emotion he feels playing the music he wrote. 'Her Strut' is intense music writing and music playing--I have no doubt now.

Only difference is that a lot of people don't respect her. I can't blame them after she disrespected our veterans.

The dude in the pink flowing shirt backing up Bob with the 6 maracas is straight out of the mothership.
Respect.
Bob Seger rockin' the tele...I like it! Nice soulful lead too!
Bob wasn't really a guitar hero type, but this and the "Night Moves" strum will be what he's best remembered for as a player.
Our great BOB SEGER made quite a few stops in KALAMAZOO , MICHIGAN to rock and roll for us.. thanks for the best music ever.. fan in Kazoo

It took 24 years after this performance before the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voted Seger in. Criminal!
I can actually remember dancing to this song on a stage during a bikini contest way back when
You must have won!
The maraca dude is pretty funny. He could have probably stuffed a few more into that 'do of his. But seriously, this tune kicks butt! The other older Seger videos from this concert are just as good. Thanks tangent 5000.
That's Alto Reed on the maracas...looks just as smooth playing the opening notes on Turn the Page.
This reminds me of my childhood in Old Redford, I grew up near Grand River and Lasher.
