Live is no different from the studio--the gift is the same and perfect--ALWAYS! I'm 60-yrs old and grew up in Toledo, 45 minutes from where Bob grew up, he was always doing shows in the area--Midwest and rock legend.

Every single soul in there was really shaking, body and soul. Seger is the ultimate Rock star. Grab his latest album if you can. Easily levels his earlier Night Moves, Sttanger in Town and Against the Wind. Long Live Bob!!! and tour again. Thrill of a life time.
Now that you mention it,Seger did do a show at Madison Square Garden last year. Seger is my father's all-time favorite rocker(well,one of them) and I seriously considered buying us tickets for the show despite the 1,000+ mile distance from our Nokomis,Florida home. I would have bought us plane tickets as well. No sacrifice is too great for a man like my father.

I saw him in 1976 he opened for Kiss at the Philadelphia spectrum they started booing him and he waved his hand in a circle and they did one song after another when he finished he said goodnight I thought he was great but the Kiss crowd didn't grace under pressure a fine showman
I find it interesting Bob gets all this credit and Kiss gets ridiculed that Kiss music is simply??? It doesn't get any simpler than 12 bar blues Segar rock old time rock and roll a simple stupid song Kiss has I stole your love Detroit Rock City I was made for lovin you far more difficult to learn than 3 chord Bob Segar music but this song does kick ass
Saw Bob twice on this past tour. Rumor has it that a Live CD/DVD is to be released this fall from the March 2007 shows at Cobo & Joe Louis Arena in his hometown of Detroit... I love Seger... But don't hold your breath! I hope that he releases a professional DVD maybe more than anyone...

This is the video feed that was shown on the screens in the center of the arena. Direct feed for the audio off the mixing console. That's why the quality is so poor and also why the crowd seems quiet. It was never meant for release. I was in the opening act on this tour and believe me, the crowd noise was thunderous. Some of the songs have been enhanced by various people to add more low end and clear up the video.
RAMBLIN' GAMBLIN' MAN sure sounds different from the original 1969 studio version(Seger's band was then The Bob Seger System) and the live 1975 version from LIVE BULLET.
this concert happened right after a couple of guys got trampled to death at a Who concert in cincinnati because there werent any seating so they didnt want something like that to happen
