    Gio Aplon could also do that but Heynecke Meyer was too much of a dumb blue bull to use him.

      Gio is extremely underrated. I wish I could see him in a bok jersey 1 more time.

      For sure. Pretty much need two players marking him whenever he gets the ball!

      @@ekrugbyanalysis6880 you mean 3 players, he fooled 2 players who marked him already and they scored a try

      @@RabbitholeIsrael For every extra man on Kolbe, that's a man not marking someone else. It's not only the little fella who can get it done, you know.
      England here, but I love to watch someone like Kolbe in space. Reminds me of Shane Williams and Jason Robinson back in the day!

    Nigel owens also mentioned that the support line that Damian ran during Nkosi's try was illegal, since he ran in front of Nkosi who was the ball carrier..Any player running in front of the ball carrier is offside

      Is a player not offside when plays the ball or partakes in the main action. I dont know rugby that well. He automatically becomes onside once Nkosi overtakes him. I think iv seen a slower player run ahead of the faster player then getting the ball once he is overtaken.

      @@takaedzachirowodza601 Yes he becomes onside when Nkosi passes him..Correct..but what I'm saying is Damian ran infront of Nkosi for a whole lot of metres and that is not allowed according to nigel owens!

      Only if a tackle is attempted. It's illegal if a defender tried to tackle Sbu and could not because Damien obstructed it. Just being in front of a running player isn't going to get a whistle unless you prevented a tackle. They never tried to tackle Sbu until his inside cut in which case Damien is back on sides by then.

      Players are in front of the ball all the time in rugby, for various reasons (e.g. when the opponent kicks out from their 22 when defending the try line). Offside only comes into it when a player in front of the ball becomes involved in the play - i.e. playing the ball or making a tackle.

      As it's open play for SA, Etzebeth's onside once Kolbe passes him.
      Etzebeth does start his run a split-second before Kolbe passes him, so you could argue that technicality, but he's onside when making contact with Murray

      @convillejoseph 3 роки тому +1

      @@ekrugbyanalysis6880 yes i agree with you on the open play rule..but as you mentioned if he ran a split Etzebeth earlier than Kolbe he should be seen as running offside according to the Law!

    Love how the video says "crucial block" so by crucial block you mean took out a defender? This is not American football, there is no blocking.

      Etzebeth was in a perfectly legal position, the Lions player arguably made an early tackle.
