I doubt the Goes Wrong Show is canonically taking place after Peter Pan/Scrooge, I think it exists in a parallel timeline, seeing as Vanessa appeared as a stage hand in Peter Pan and (which could make sense, however) she was also the receptionist at the BBC for Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. But also there is no hint to Max and Sandra being married in this, so I find this is a branching timeline starting from the Play that Goes Wrong, into the series.
High marks for his spot-on impressions of the rest of the cast during Ensemble. I didn't even consciously realize on first viewing that I knew exactly who was supposed to have done what.
Poor Jonathan, he had to do his one-man circus performance by himself without the rest of the team to help him even though he deserved this moment. Because since The Goes Wrong Show, Series 2 Jonathan have been ignore a lot and been treated like an outcast.
It’s funny too because there’s the running gag of him always being left out of the scene or not being able to get to his spot in every episode, in both series 1 and 2.
I love all these characters that the actors play. For example, you have Dennis who's the "idiot" of the group, and Robert who wants to overthrow Chris etc. It's like a storyline in a storyline and a character in a character. It's brilliant.
What surprises me the most is that you found more than four minutes and a half of Jonathan time on screen! I never thought he would make it that long! Also, what the Mischef Company (or the Cornwell Drama Society) really need to do is Jonathan's Circus scene, but together. I'm sure it would have been grandiose and I need to see it for real!
I wonder how the actor for Jonathan didn't get dizzy during that scene when he's spinning. There must have been a technique to not get dizzy because that went insanely fast lol.
I love his circus bit, because it finally showcases that he IS authentically talented... but I can't help but laugh after the mime bit... because the sign falls and leaves it reading "VILE"... as though his part of the show is vile. It isn't obviously... but that does seem like the kind of joke someone would play on him. Greg has to be the chillest one in the cast to go thru all that.
Something tells me that they kept giving Jonathan minor roles or screwing things up for him purposely as punishment for cheating on Sandra and messing with Annie.
Play That Goes Wrong/Murder at Haversham Manor: he plays a dead body Peter Pan Goes Wrong: only time he gets a major role, and he spends a good portion of it unconscious The Spirit of Christmas: gets stuck in the chimney The Pilot (Not The Pilot): fails to remove his Winston Churchill mask, also gets “exposed” A Trial To Watch: his head appears in the courtroom for a second but then gets pushed out; he also plays a news reporter on a TV, but it glitches. The Lodge: can’t open the door Harper’s Locket: can’t open any of the doors; gets hit in the crotch with a croquet mallet the one time he actually opens a door 90 Degrees: takes two really nasty falls The Nativity: spun around really fast and stripped naked in the process (he appears multiple times throughout the episode, a first) Summer Once Again: Robert keeps cutting him off The Most Lamentable: his helmet muffles his voice, also gets electrocuted, gets hit in the crotch by a camera after his armor becomes magnetized (due to the electrocution), gets trapped in the Iron Maiden There Is No Escape: gets stuck in the phone booth Drama Festival part 1: gets cut off by Robert (again), gets stuck in the faucet during Max’s “kitchen sink drama”, gets cut off by Vanessa, gets knocked unconscious by a microphone during his role as the Stag Drama festival part 2: his microphone cuts off during his lines in Sandra’s radio play, he is censored throughout his whole appearance during Annie’s comedy (because his character was naked)… and then he finally gets his moment! Poor Jonathan.
My personal theory is that Jonathan was dropped from more high-profile roles because he was such a dick to Sandra during the course of Cornley's production of Peter Pan. Despite his generally scumbaggy nature during the show (bullying Max, getting off with Annie while he was with Sandra, and his air of pompousness), the company allowed him to stay on, but only in more minor roles. He has, however, changed his ways, but Cornley haven't seen that yet.
As of this season (especially that Christmas scene) has everyone appeared in underwear or less? It does seem like a good way to embarrass the Cornley cast.
(EDITED - I forgot Max lost his trousers in Annie's farce) Now In order of number of appearances (!) Annie - Peter Pan, The Trial, Nativity, Most Lamentable, Annie's farce Jonathan - Peter Pan, The Pilot, Nativity, Annie's farce Sandra - Murder at Haversham Manor, Peter Pan, Harper's Locket Trevor - The Pilot, Harper's Locket, Most Lamentable Dennis - Peter Pan, Nativity Max - Peter Pan, Annie's farce Robert - The Pilot, Annie's farce Chris - Spirit of Chistmas, Annie's farce Vanessa - Nativity, Annie's farce I think that means Annie gets the most "exposure" (although two of them, in Peter Pan and the Trial, are very brief), followed by Jonathan, and everyone gets caught at least twice (unless you count Lucy)
I like to think it worked out for Greg that being cut out of the earlier episodes gave him more time to practice juggling and riding a unicycle.
His misfortune was given to him for cheating on Sandra in Peter Pan and being mean to the Crocodile (who everyone liked)
Yeah.

I’m so glad he finally got his moment… although it didn’t end well… but he is very talented!
Now Trevor and Chris are gone, who will take *him* to the hospital?

I wonder if it's related to Peter Pan Goes Wrong and his kiss with Annie.

@@sam2131 most likely.
@@WxB2001 He always cuts Jonathan off as well. What acting position is Jonathan in?
Jonathan did what Sandra did in series one a dance that requires more than one person and he did it really well

(Not Cornwall, Cornley)
Maybe we need an episode where Jonathan is the Lead Actor...
That would be cool
He was the main character in Peter Pan Goes Wrong
@@mrcritical6751 But he wasn't the main in the Goes Wrong Show.

1:12 Dennis’s face that whole time was just completed unfazed 😂
We all love johnathan
1:13 D'you think people were complaining we hadn't seen enough of Jonathan?

i do wish we got some Jonathon action
All things considering he did a good job with the phone booth car and the water song

Yeah - can't upset the leading lady.
Maybe. But its not out of the question.
I made the lemonade!!
I MADE THE LEMONADE
I bet that naked man from Annie's play is Jonathan again
He is
Play That Goes Wrong/Murder at Haversham Manor: he plays a dead body
Peter Pan Goes Wrong: only time he gets a major role, and he spends a good portion of it unconscious
The Spirit of Christmas: gets stuck in the chimney
The Pilot (Not The Pilot): fails to remove his Winston Churchill mask, also gets “exposed”
A Trial To Watch: his head appears in the courtroom for a second but then gets pushed out; he also plays a news reporter on a TV, but it glitches.
The Lodge: can’t open the door

90 Degrees: takes two really nasty falls
The Nativity: spun around really fast and stripped naked in the process (he appears multiple times throughout the episode, a first)
Summer Once Again: Robert keeps cutting him off
The Most Lamentable: his helmet muffles his voice, also gets electrocuted, gets hit in the crotch by a camera after his armor becomes magnetized (due to the electrocution), gets trapped in the Iron Maiden
There Is No Escape: gets stuck in the phone booth
Drama Festival part 1: gets cut off by Robert (again), gets stuck in the faucet during Max’s “kitchen sink drama”, gets cut off by Vanessa, gets knocked unconscious by a microphone during his role as the Stag
Drama festival part 2: his microphone cuts off during his lines in Sandra’s radio play, he is censored throughout his whole appearance during Annie’s comedy (because his character was naked)… and then he finally gets his moment!
Poor Jonathan.
Maybe he’ll be the director in the next play?
I agree, maybe in Series 3, Jonathan finally can play a major part because of his talent.
I like to think Sandra secretly sabotages Jonathan's part as revenge for cheating on her in Peter Pan Goes Wrong.
Well maybe but didn't she propose to max in a Christmas Carol?
Who I think I am: Sandra
Who I really am: Johnathan
Finally!
