Darrow’s ignorance is astonishing! He believed adamantly in natural law, but never realized that the author of the natural laws was, sine qua non “god”. Also, the ancients certainly had science because it had scientists Pythagoras, Archimedes, Lucretius, Aristarchus of Samos, to name but a few. Finally, god’s existence doesn’t rest on apocryphal biblical stories, whether in the Torah or the Gospels.
