    My only gripe is the display, it's just too reflective, its just a mirror, They should consider using the antireflective like that of the samsung's display or the one in the new galaxy phones or use an antiglare. But overall, that's a great PC for a great price. its just amazing to look at and work with it. great video!!!

      @@leonmadara3903 I agree with the reflective display. I mainly use my laptop indoors, so it hasn’t been much of a problem. However, I know the glossiness could be a deal breaker for some.

      @@jirikocman yes i mainly use my laptops inside as well. One thing i noticed when using a screen outdoors is that the brighter the display is, the less the glare is an issue.

    I've heard mixed reviews on the touchpad, is it good? Or is it straight up awful? I really want to give this laptop a shot if its worth it.

      Honestly, the best way to know is to try it in person because trackpad performance can be very subjective. Best Buy has a ton of copilot+pcs on display, so I think that would be a great place to demo. I’ve used plenty of awful trackpads and this one is far from it hah.

    I had preordered Yoga Slim 7x 32/1000 variant, in my country is currently some cashback promotion for that specs, so it cost just somewhat 40 bucks more than 16/512, but i cancel it and opted for base Surface Pro 11 becouse of form factor. I had 7gen Yoga7 convertible, for few months and I like to use laptop screen below my monitor with external keyboard, clamshell laptop does not give me enough room for that and dont want laptop screen on side. I used 14" MBP for year and had to buy small portable monitor which fits under my main 34" ultrawide. With Surface Pro I can detach keyboard and use screen with plenty of room for external keyboard. Tough decision as I sacrifice great OLED display and battery life. But much better sound quality, and rear camera and pen support is handy.

      I have 14" M1 MBP too, since I bought Surface Pro 11, It sits turned off on shelf collecting dust. I even do not touch my iPad and Galaxy Tab S8+, it becoes my daily driver instantly - Im like W11 little bit more than MacOS, especially due to better Office and OneNote functionality, sadly MacOS Outlook version have much better UI than Windows one. I miss it. Im lucky that mostly all apps I using are available for WIn and MacOS and even all are Arm native on both systems. Only iCloud integration and LogiOptions are apps which are non native on WIndows.

      @@jirikocman after seeing many review videos on the pro 11. I'm concerned on the screen which many feedback it has small dots which makes the screen looks bad. I'm now leaning towards samsung edge 4 which has ecosystem with my ss phone.

      @@LeHung-sr9qd That was with OLED displays, and remembering my convertible Yoga 7 with 2,8 OLED, dots from digitizer layer are here, was visible on mostly white backgroud from small distance (for me), and it was same for 14" Zenbook flip I trided before Yoga.
      No one was speking for that digitizer layer being visible on IPS version of Pro 11. And I do not see anything like that too on my one.

    I wonder what the GPU equivalent is for semi-gaming

    • @phoeyedtechguy
      @phoeyedtechguy  3 місяці тому

      I looked through some gaming reviews of this laptop and it’s difficult to compare since we have emulated x86 games versus native ones. I guess a fairer comparison would be against another custom chip like the Apple M3.

    MacBooks have 8% global laptop market share.
    If it wasn't for US protectionism, MacBook's market share would be even less.

    • @phoeyedtechguy
      @phoeyedtechguy  3 місяці тому +3

      Yes, there could be some app compatibility, but most x86 apps that a general consumer would use work just fine. Also, the success of these new Snapdragon PCs will only encourage developers to optimize theirs apps for this platform.
      In terms of performance while unplugged, I've used this device unplugged for a week now and if there was a performance hit, it's not a noticeable one in day-to-day use.
      In terms of gaming, this is definitely not designed to be a gaming machine. However, neither are the 13" and 15" MBAs and they are some of the most popular laptops ever made.

      I'm swapping out my m3 max. It's been severely underused lol. I'd rather save the money and use an operating system I'm comfortable with. It's the first time I can actually get a full day's use out of a windows machine.

      @@phoeyedtechguy I wish I could have swapped over, but MacOS just isn't for me. The chip is pretty extraordinary in terms of performance and efficiency, it's the reason I gave it a shot. I just can't seem to get used to it.
      I'm pleased with today's results from the snapdragon. There's only one program I'm having issues with lol, but I can live with it. Everything else is pretty exceptional. Apple set the standard in build quality, and it's great to see others catch up. The keyboard and display on Apple are no longer leading in that regard.
      Overall, I think you made a fair assessment. I think the new snapdragon certainly has its place and should be considered. Seems there's always a tradeoff regardless which laptop one gets. For myself, I'm fairly certain I'll be hanging onto the snapdragon.
