Inner conflict was cracked before the errata, it allowed you to tribute the monster and didnt cost 2k LP! Twisted personality was my favorite skill in the format before it received an errata too. I think they should just ban the cards instead of making erratas that just kill the cards. 'twisted personality' is still being played in zombie decks, but 'inner conflict' is just ass...
@@hique. Also I agree I feel like back then Konami felt to weird baning cards for speed duels honestly I remember when my precious queen was banned I was genuinely shocked since I didn't think Konami had it in them to do it.
It seems like the original starter decks were trying to capture the feel of the original duelists' decks, but once the first Battle City Box hit Konami were concerned less with making 1-to-1 anime decks with vanillas and instead focused on taking Boss Monsters used by duelists and making decks around them using older and more modern day cards. The themes of Bakura using Darkness and Marik using torture are interesting and the abilities fit them, but while Bakura and Marik both used a lot of vanillas in the anime it just doesn't translate too well into modern Speed Duel. More importantly, Twisted Nightmares doesn't carry the actual strategy of the original duels. Bakura wanted to trick opponents into thinking they're winning before reversing the tide of the duel and stealing a win with Destiny Board. Marik on the other hand tortured his opponents then finished them off by bringing back Ra from the grave. I really hope that this Battle City Finals Box redeems both Bakura and Marik by using little to no vanillas and strategies of them bringing out their real strategies in a more power-crept format...or at least give Marik some of the Ra support cards like Disciple, Sphere Mode, and Phoenix Mode.
very true, that's part of the reason that i made a separate tier list for specifically decks from the sealed boxes and the starter decks the deck building philosophy is far too different to put them all in the same tier list. As for the new set coming out i also hope its a banger but tbh idk how out the box Konami is willing to go hopefully they set is good.

@@hique. Holly crap I wasn't aware that skill had an errata lmao. But goddam that skill would be broken in it's original form.

@@TopsyTurnip yeah if they just nerfed the cost I think It wouldn't be so bad. idk
@@hique. Yeah probably, that or at least make it to where the monster can be tributed. As it stands right now it's a shell of it's pre errata
