Thank you for this informative video! I am writing notes. I am researching the Haitian flag for a multi-cultural dress piece and I'm glad to come across this.
My dad is Haitian too but never talked to me and my siblings about our cuture so we don't know alot, working on teaching myself now 💙HAITIANS ARE STRONG
Hello! This is an excellent video with phenomenal explanation of the Haitian flag. I wanted to use this video in a Haitian flag promotional video I am creating. I am not sure who to reach out to for permission. Please let me know. Thank you so so so much and please keep creating this high quality content!
True but a bit misinformed but all throughout great video 👍 …the red stands for the natives of the Island the Taino natives today known as the Dominicans who fought together with the black people 🤝 one in unity to gain freedom from the Caucasians . u can look up the history one rebellion specifically happened on Christmas night. Most Dominican’s great great grandparents can be found with records shown that they were Haitian citizens the whole island was once called Haiti after the victorious defeat of the Spaniards. This is why the Europeans work so hard to divide Haiti and the Dominican Republic because they know if we ever come together again we will be an unstoppable force…by the way the word Haiti or ayiti was what the natives called it before the French and Spaniards changed it…it means land of high mountains because Haiti has a lot of mountains

That's a gross oversimplification of the Haitian Revolution. I recommend listening to Mike Duncan's Revolutions podcast on it for the whole story.
