I was scared that it cost me money to fix it, but I tried searching for solutions here, checking videos and trying their techniques to resolve the problem but didn’t work, I keep searching and clicked your video/this video then went to my car and tried, now it fixes the problem and it even the keyless function works again. How do I reprogram my key fob I have the mechsn8cal key and a unprogramed fob my brother tells me the working extra fob is hidden in the car but don't remember where?
What if it still won't start using this method? Car started fine first thing this morning and then said battery dead in fob. Replaced battery and still won't work. Other key won't work as well.
I have a 1999 mB 4 door. The red light blinks when the buttons are pushed on the FOB. The doors will not lock and the trunk will not open using the FOB. Can you start the car with the metal key?

I have a slightly different issue, the car battery was dead so used the skeleton key to unlock the door, inserted the key fob into the start stop to turn off the alarm. I charged the car battery and it now starts by inserting the key fob into the start stop but now the fob won't do anything using the buttons? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I don't have a start stop button my key was left in the position just to open the sun roof one night and the next morning once I turned it back to original position it wouldn't turn anymore to the right and my car has been sitting now for months I have replaced the batteries in the fob and read the manual front to back and I'm here alone and have NOONE to help me out ..any suggestions? It's a 2002 Mercedes S500 ... please help

Damn! This worked so good - i dont have that push button. But i just removed the batteries and tried without them. Worked instantly

What if the fob cannot unlock and the physical key cannot unlock either? Correct car, correct key. Driven 12hrs ago.

Quick question I got a 2010 ml350 it won’t start when hot and some time I put the key and star the vehicle and say , key no belong to vehicle

You can’t start a car with metal key that for unlock- lock door ! You change battery in the fob!

If the car is equipped with keyless go it should work. Oh, I got my button from either amazon or ebay. Didnt want to pay the dealer price.
